'07 MI CB Ronald Johnson (Southern Cal signee)

Based on him only really talking to MSU and Florida the last two weeks. MSU has made a really strong push. Rojo wanted to play at UofM he went behind his mom's back to have an interview with GBWthe information leaked and that was the end of that. I don't know why she doesn't want her son to play at Michigan, if that is where he wants to play.

Either way I'm happy that we got Warren because he can play right now. Is it me or is the Rojo situation seem unreal. I mean through out his whole recruitment him and his family have been so tight-lipped now all this information is coming out. Just seems weird!

This one stinnnnnnnnngs.

Apparently Mom called Michigan coaches, told them they weren't invited for an in-home (*FYI* in-school actually) and that Ronald isn't going to Michigan.

For whatever reason his mother does not want him at Michigan. I've heard he's really torn about it. Has been pulled out of school. The kid silently committed to Michigan on more than one occassion. I think he was all-Michigan and loved it, but in the end Michigan was going to have to win over his mother. Obviously they didn't for whatever reason.

Have no idea why she's so admant about him having nothing to do with Michigan. Well, I have an idea but I don't think it'd be wise to let everything that I've heard all loose. Not just yet at least.

Really don't quite understand how his mother would not want her son to play for a guy like Carr or attend an academic institution like Michigan. The emphasis they place on academics is second to none. The new academic center for the athletes that they just completed is amazing. Michigan showed Ronald alot of love. I mean ALOT of love. They recruited him since he was a sophomore, and when almost every school stopped talking to him after he blew out his ACL, Carr visited him in-person to re-assure him that he had an offer to Michigan and then even offered to have RoJo come down to AA to have the surgery done at the university's hospital.

This is one of the stranger recruitments that I can ever remember.

RoJo is incredibly loyal and obedient to his mother, she has the final say in this and she's spoken.

Just a thought, but everybody says Michigan was the only one to keep recruiting Ronald after his injury.....and lots of people are saying the coaches hid things from other schools from him. Maybe other schools tried to keep recruiting him after his injury.

I don't believe for a second his coaches were hiding things from him. I feel like I can say that very confidently. That's just not Annese's MO. He's a stand-up guy through and through. The "Annese wasn't letting us recruit your son" line came from some coaches trying to land his committment.

Michigan was not the ONLY school that was still recruiting Ronald. MSU and Purdue still recruited him pretty heavily. However that MSU coaching staff is long gone and he was never going to Purdue. Michigan was the only "powerhouse" school that kept on him like flies on sh-y-t. By the way, how many of the other schools offered to have them come to their university hospital to have the surgery?
