'07 IN RB Darren Evans (Virginia Tech Verbal)

Video on Evans on Sunshine Preps. Looks to be a good prospect but a product of the system kind of deal. They run alot of option and the holes are pretty wide open for him. I doubt OSU goes after him real hard.

I don't agree with the product of the system label. Darren shows an excellent burst, good top speed, and very active feet...he runs good tracks and would have no problem adjusting to the I or being in a one back set.

He does have a nice burst but I am just not so sold because I always see a FB in the option have big stats due to the system, and the fact that he had some holes where he didn't even get touched. He has some good speed but I would like to see him in an I or one back set.

A few of the clips have him on pitch also...all I saw was a kid who made the most of space available.

Man I really like him.

He shows that ability to cut on a dime and run through arm tackles. He is already 205 and he could easily add 10-15 and be a very good sized back.

I think another thing is that we run that shotgun offense so it wouldnt be a bad idea to get a shotgun type running back in the fold.

Hey Grad how would you rank:

Saine/Williams/Hughes/Evans

I would go Saine/Hughes/Williams/Evans but all are very good.
