'07 GA OL Nick Claytor (Georgia Tech signee)

I also saw an article on Rivals that had other GA. players in it and it said that the Buckeyes are in a strong position(I'll post it if I can find it but it's about a Rivals Junior Day in Georgia). I think he will stay south too but his articles at least sound a bit encouraging.

Of course there is interest...but the southern schools have not yet put on the full court press. tOSU will get a look, but it will just like Leon Hart. Get your hopes up if you like...I like enthusiasm and being wrong on these things.

I didn't say we would get him, rather the articles sounded encouraging. To be honest I'm not all that enthusiastic on Claytor. I know how difficult it is to get a southern player when all the SEC and ACC schools will be after them.

Video of Claytor at left tackle.

My Take: Nick's frame is the first thing I noticed...excellent frame with a long wingspan. However, he is a raw talent. He does not use his hands well yet and has a narrow base at times. His aggressiveness was not consistent and he simply got by with being the bigger, better athlete. He will contribute somewhere, but not right away imho.

Clemson has offered. Nick now holds offers from LSU, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Maryland, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Duke and Indiana. He says his favorites are Georgia Tech, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State. Nick says he grew up a Buckeye fan and will attend camp hoping for an offer, but he is unsure of the interest level of the Buckeyes. He is fully qualified.
