OK, guess it was a stupid question.:tongue2:

Good news if true, he looks like a stud and if he were to get an offer this early from us, that shows me something, b/c the staff doesnt just offer qbs this early for the heck of it.

with belton and chris smith in state, and interest from some other guys oos, i would be surprised to see osu dish out at qb offer before camp. if they do, that's quite the indication of his talent level.

Nowels is likely the only OOS QB to get early attention from the staff. I have heard that the staff likes this kid a lot and want to make sure he comes back up here this summer.

He looked really good in his highlight reels. Not the type of kid who impresses you with throwing frozen ropes to all of his receivers, but the type of kid who just "has it."

Obviously it was a highlight reel, but here is what I mean.

He seemed to throw really accurately, he moved around well in the pocket, showed more than once that he would thread the needle in traffic, and then showed a few good deep balls. I made a post about this earlier, but it got deleted due to it being the second thread on nowels.

I'm not talking talent wise since that's pretty impossible, but his style of play and throwing reminded me alot of former Utah quarterback Alex Smith. I would love to get him into camp to see another evaluation.
