'07 FL OL/DL Kevin Bryant (North Carolina signee)

not sure if you realize what the admission standards are at OSU. JT doesn't have final say on if a kid gets in. A change of scenery means nothing if the kid can't get admitted. Admissions have changed quite a bit since Troy came aboard.

Understand fully...Have been sending my student/athletes there for over a decade. And I also understand that the requirements have changed substantially over the past few years-my players can tell you that. However, what I cannot verify with any certainty (and neither can anyone else unless they work in the admissions office) is how much "latitude" JT is given with his athletes.

I am not encouraging low academic standards by any stretch of the imagination. BUT, it is clear that JT is still in pursuit of KB, so apparently there must still be SOME chance he could be admitted, otherwise, why would Tressel waste his time?

Kevin says he slightly favors Ole Miss but is scheduling a tOSU visit. He also confirms a 2.2 core GPA with a 700 SAT.

I will be very surprised if he is in this class...those grade numbers do not add up to any D-1 school and definitely not tOSU. However, he could have some form of credit recovery underway...

More on his upcoming visit to Ole Miss.

OSU is mentioned briefly but until an offer is extended or a visit is scheduled we can only assume the interest is not mutual at this point.

For whatever reason I can't explain, I'm happy for UNC to finally snag some actual building blocks and get competitive again. I don't necessarily root for them, but I have paid more attention to them as far as a #2 team as I have with anyone, and as a Browns fan, er, DAWG, it's certainly not Butch Davis. Bryant, Austin, Little... good for them.
