'07 FL OL/DL Kevin Bryant (North Carolina signee)

He looks incredibly "solid" in his rivals pics, if thats even possible for a 380 pound giant; Not fat or sloppy at all.

I haven't seen any video yet, but If he can move around a little, he'd be un-stoppable at DT. What a monster!

Someone did a study a few years ago and for whatever reason test scores/grades were inversely proportional to the players distance from the ball at snap.

IE Linemen & QBs regularly scored the highest while WR/DBs scored the lowest.

Strictly from my experience coaching at the HS I do-linemen-both offensive and defensive are the extremes on the team-smartest and dumbest/least motivated.

When you see a score that low you just have to wonder why we are even spending any time on him?

It could be that the staff just wants to make in-roads with him. They may currently know that he can't get into school right now, and will have to attend prep school for a year. After that, he's back on the open market and the staff already has a connection in place with him when the process starts all over again next year.

Also, like CleveBucks said, who knows when that score is from.

That's a FREE scout article.

And I hate to say it, but obviously, JT knew a month or so ago when he started to more vigorously pursue KB that Davis was gone.

Plan B it is. Just hope the grades improve.

Here is another FREE Scout interview for those who are interested:

Seems like he wants to go somewhere he can get ready for the NFL. Not sure if that makes him necessarily a "JT-type" of recruit. No question, JT pushes academics first and foremost.

:oh: :io:

Not really... it was much more obvious that Brent and Still were no longer in the bag.

:slappy: you must be kidding. I wonder if the GPA and test score is current, if so getting in at OSU seems very unlikely. He is a massive human being though, would love to see what he could become at OSU.

Nope...Not kidding. But since we live in the same town, i will be patient. Apparently the staff is still in contact with him. They must feel the possibility still exists, no? I'm a big academics guy, but we took a risk with our last schollie a few years ago (see Troy Smith), and he bought into JT's belief system, and look what he has become.

If you were an educator, you would know how a change of scenery can be incredibly helpful in changing the attitudes of a person. I will not be the one to say there is no hope for KB. You never know. I bet a lot of people said the same thing about Troy not so long ago.

I will leave it up to JT to make the right judgements on character and asssessing who is correct for his program. Track record is pretty good so far.

We can only wait to see where the SAT and GPA score ends up. Anyway, if PC and USC are looking to take a chamce on the kid, why shouldn't we?

not sure if you realize what the admission standards are at OSU. JT doesn't have final say on if a kid gets in. A change of scenery means nothing if the kid can't get admitted. Admissions have changed quite a bit since Troy came aboard. Back to KB....
