Kevin has written offers from
Florida, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. Coach Tressel recently visited Kevin at school.

Not sure if there is mutual interest, but we'll see how this one progresses.

I don't think he'd fit in with our style of DTs...he may not have the rush-speed. He'd make a helluva NG, though.

Quinn Pitcock, Brian Anderson, and others were never used as rushing defensive tackles. They were used as space eaters to keep the linemen off of the linebackers. I think he could work out pretty well. Tressel seems to use the players to the best of their abilities, instead of fitting square pegs in round holes.

I imagine you mean Tim Anderson. While Anderson did excel at keeping OL from getting downfield, he also was able to provide a serious pass rush along with sliding off blocks when defending the run, as is Pitcock. Tressel wants quicker, athletic lineman who are able to do both. Unless Bryant is quicker than his 40 time suggests, I don't see him as anything other than a larger version of Gabe Watson...I don't recall Watson getting a whole lot of pass rush against us, but he did well against our run (most of the time). The key is how quick and agile Bryant is.

63. Kevin Bryant, OL, 6-6, 370, Hallandale
The biggest Division 1 recruit to come out of this state in years, Bryant is also the strongest this year. He will play his senior season at Boyd Anderson, where he'll be part of the state's biggest offensive line.

By BK... Kevin and his coach are working to set up an official visit with tOSU. Kevin has been in contact with JT. He has liked the Buckeyes for awhile and is excited to visit. He is considering tOSU, USC, LSU, Georgia, and Oklahoma.

Moving this back to the main forum... My curiosity is peaked by this one... Might signal a move to DT for Anthony Davis...
