'07 AZ OL Kris O'Dowd (Southern Cal Signee)

I don't see him committing early. I expect him to take his official visits to 2 or 3 schools, and commit shortly thereafter.

Well thanks for the information. It's really nice when we see family on here. We've had a few come by believe it or not, which is fairly good for not being affiliated with scout or rivals.

One thing you'll probably notice with OSU fans, is that there arent many more dedicated fans than us. Maybe a few sec teams are on par with us, but aside from that, we're all pretty much diehards.

Good luck in the recruiting process. Hopefully it won't be too stressful.

Is there anyway you could tell us what his list is? Who is really on top if there are any leaders?
he already answered the leader part
There are only a couple other programs that Kristofer might consider and at this point Ohio State is the front runner.
thanks for your insight big bro... looking forward to hearing more from you at your convenience.

The spelling is Scandanavian. Our grandmother was born in Norway, and raised in Sweden. Anyway, it's a family name.

We just signed another kid of Norse desent Aram Olson. A blocking fullback with muscles on his muscles from South Carolina. He is the link to page 17 of his thread. Scroll down you'll see what I referring to. http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13644&page=13

We could could end up with blocking schemes that look like Viking invasions
from ages past.

His build and athleticism remind me a lot of Nick Mangold only a tad bigger and stronger. I really think this young man should be our number 2 or 3 recruit overall. I know thay it seems nuts to say that but as far as it goes we need quality O-Line BAD. Other than Oglesby we need Kris at OL.

Just being realistic, it will take a real hard pull from tOSU to get him to come east, especially with the major west coast schools in play. For now it sounds like the Buckeyes are in the mix, but IMO it will take extraordinary recruiting to close the deal. The geography will be tough to overcome.

I think he has said that distance is not a factor. We have an appealing depth chart, a great and classy head coach, the most beautiful stadium in the nation, and a fan base that no one can match. We also have more alumni throughout the nation than almost any other program. We also are putting players into the NFL more than any other college team in the nation. Show some more optimism than that.

From his updates he seems like a good and smart kid, hopefully he has a good senior year and picks a school that suits him best.

You did a good job listing all the factors in tOSU's favor, scarletngrey77. I do think tOSU has a shot, I just think it will, in the end, be real tough to pull off. Most recruits say that distance isn't a factor early in the game, but in the end most recruits stay within their region.
