Ameer, one of the best cover corners in the southeast, is a member of TigerIllustrated.com's (Clemson Rivals) SC Sweet Sixteen. He has early interest in Clemson, Florida, Miami, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Southern Cal; no offers. Clemson should be considered his leader, as he attended all six of the Tigers' home games last season. He likes Ohio State because it is a "big-time program."

This kid seems like he would be a solid, cover corner for us. Small, Salahudin and probably one more CB if JamO or Jenkins move over to Safety. I would love to land this one. Getting pure cover corners are always stellar when recruiting, rather than having to teach them the position. If he is the best coverman in the SE... then I expect to see him very highly rated next year.

Hanna Trio Getting Early Attention

By Phil Kornblut
T.L. Hanna High School in Anderson has emerged as one of the state's top 4A programs and coach Scott Parker has another talented team for 2005. Two of his prospects have already picked up major offers and a third is close.

DB Ameer Salahudin (6-1 185) also plays receiver and tailback. Last season he had 35 tackles with 12 knockdowns and 5 interceptions. He also rushed for 300 yards and 6 touchdowns. "He's a big kid who can run and is powerful," Parker said. "He makes things happen. He can cover. We put him on Reynaldo (Hunter) in the Byrnes game and he covered him up except for one play." Salahudin has an offer from Clemson while USC, Maryland, Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgia, Auburn, Notre Dame and NC State are very interested. He will attend Clemson's junior day this Saturday.

Ameer is expecting a number of offers in the coming weeks. Kentucky has jumped into his recruitment and has his attention as former teammate Rafael Little signed with UK last year. Ameer is receiving major attention from Maryland, N.C. State and Clemson, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and South Carolina. He does not have a favorite right now although Clemson's campus is a mere 25 minutes from Ameer's home. He has a 2.7 GPA and a 980 SAT.

Tigers Offer Salahudin

By Matthew Pitts
T.L. Hanna DB Ameer Salahudin (6-1 185) recently picked up an offer from the Clemson Tigers. Salahudin has also picked up offers from Maryland, North Carolina and N.C. State. Salahudin was supposed to be traveling to Atlanta, Georgia for a one day camp session at Georgia Tech this weekend, but that has fallen through due to Salahudin having to take the ACT this Saturday. Salahudin had an excellent junior season having 35 total tackles, 13 punts blocked, 5 interceptions and 6 touchdowns. Salahudin has also drawn interest from Tennessee, Auburn, Duke, Ohio State, USC, Virginia Tech and Kentucky. Salahudin recently missed out on a particular camp session that he really wanted to be at. "I missed the camp down in Miami and I really hate that because I wanted them to get a chance to see me", said Salahudin. Salahudin also confirmed that he will be traveling with his team up to Clemson for a 7 on 7 camp session next weekend. Salahudin says he currently does not have a favorite, but he would like to have a top five at the end of summer.
