From BSB...Lance is hearing from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Miami (OH), Purdue, and most of the rest of the Big Ten. Miami (OH) has offered and Wisconsin may be close. ND and OSU are his favorites.

Lance attended Junior Days at Notre Dame and Penn State. He has an offer from Miami of Ohio and Wisconsin is supposed to offer soon. Lance is hearing from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn Sate, Wisconsin, Purdue and most of the Big Ten. He likes Notre Dame the best but tOSU is also a favorite. He will visit Michigan this weekend and will attend a practice session at tOSU on 3/31.

By Chris Pool...this article is a video analysis of Lance. The only thing Lance lacks is breakaway speed. He has great vision and balance, and gains a lot of yards after contact.

As we continue our countdown of the Ohio High top 100 as ranked by Duane Long, we enter into players 21-30. Here is where we will start to get into this year's crop of fine quarterbacks, and a couple of excellent running backs and defendive backs also are listed here. Click the link to take a look.

Smith is considered the #29 player in Ohio. Could be a fine receiver at the next level and Iowa is very interested.

I've seen him a few times. He's a pretty decent player, but I would not call him the second best back in the state. I've seen Elzy(JFK) and Herron(Harding) and they both were more impressive. Of course, I just watch as a fan and not a scout.
It would be nice to see a local boy go to a nice school like Iowa.

In my personal opinion Lance is better than Elzy. I have a feeling Smith could put up some very nice numbers at either Wisconsin or Michigan. I was hoping OSU would go after him, but what can ya do? I wonder if OSU would offer this kid had we not had 4 running backs.

Good luck to Lance Smith.

Ok so let me get this straight, he is down to Michigan and Wisky but only Wisky has offered? It doesnt take a genius to figure out that he is going to Wisky unless he wants to pay his own way to Michigan.
