Bob Lichtenfels said that he does not see Joe changing his commitment regardless of Pitt's success. He said Joe's father was very impressed with Wannstedt and that will be key.

I don't agree with Bob on this one.

Joe Thomas is a Buckeye fan and a good friend of Alex Boone's. the main reason he committed to Pitt so early was because tOSU didn't show early enough interest. Gary H. has been saying for awhile that tOSU still had a decent shot at turning Thomas's head.

Tressel has said in the past that OSU does not actively pursue recruits who have committed elsewhere unless they initiate the contact and indicate interest. That leads me to believe that Thomas may have gotten in touch with the OSU staff and that he may not be 100% sure about going to Pitt.

Edit: that may have been an OSU basketball coach who said that now that I think about it.
