This is a crazy year for talent in Ohio. It seems like every day a new name pops up and the recruit has a big time offer. One of the other sites reported that a linebacker from central Ohio who I never heard of had accepted an offer to Georgia Tech.

Akron, Bowling Green, Ohio University, Indiana, and Illinois have offered. Illinois, Akron and Bowling Green are his top teams at this point. As far as Ohio State, he has been hearing from the staff, but they have not offered to this point. Likely to verbal after the season.

I think it's a combination. I've heard that they see in him some of the same ability they saw in Barton and even Rehring to an extent when they took them as "projects" (by this I mean a guy with good upside that needs some seasoning).
