I can confirm that michigan offered Eugene Clifford at camp today for the 07 class.

crrraaaappppp. there's an article up on the front page of the scUM rivals site that is confirming it. he's quoted as saying that he's committed to playing football at Michigan, he just hasn't been able to talk to LLLoyd yet. he said he will work at getting Connor to join him.
i guess the bright side of this is that that almost assures Thad Gibson to us. i've read a bunch that scUM will only take two LB's with limited schollies this year :(

Cincinnati (Ohio) Colerain linebacker Cobrani Mixon will give his verbal commitment to play football for the University of Michigan. The announcement comes on the heels of an impressive performance at the Michigan Summer Camp, and makes Mixon the third 2006 recruit to pledge his intentions to become a Wolverine. He joins Detroit Crockett linebacker Brandon Graham and Pickerington (Ohio) North offensive lineman Justin Boren as the core of an impressive recruiting class.

Not to downplay Mixon, but isn't Gibson the higher rated recruit. We already have Homan and if we get Gibson, we would have a great couple of recruits at that position. This is not a knock on Mixon, if he was worthy of a scholarship offer, I am sure he is a heck of a player.

Michigan told J Hunter that they'll take 3 to 4 LB's in this class. Mixon and Graham are ILB for UM. (many think Graham will be a DE when its all said and done) and 1-2 OLB.

Best of luck in college, Mix...I wish I could have had the opportunity to watch you every Saturday for the next four years, but you did what was right for you and I would never hold that against anybody....

who knows union, but i can't see it. they don't have many scholarships at all this year, even less than we do i think.
Gibson is the higher rated recruit, definitely. maybe this means we will go after Tyler Moeller (i think that's his name) now from Colerain. who knows.

I just got an email from a mother of a Colerain player who is on the bus home with Cobrani...

Cobrani did NOT verbal to Michigan today. This source is very solid and reliable and if you don't believe me, you can ask osugrad21 to validate it.


Like I said...wait unitl 6 pm until I can confirm it with Cobrani himself.
