Johnnie skipped his offical to MSU due to the weather, but may reschedule for late January. He says PSU is his leader due to his comfort level, but he does like tOSU due to the winning tradition and staff. Johnnie will visit tOSU and Maryland before deciding.

From the Michigan State site....Penn State is his leader followed by Ohio State and Michigan State. He will announce on signing day.

Bob L. on scout thinks Johnnie will be a Buckeye. He says that PSU and tOSU are his top two, and with all the DL that PSU is taking this year, that Troutman might be waiting too long with his decision to be a part of the class.

I see Troutman becoming a David Patterson/Darrion Scott type DL. Quick enough to play end, and big and tough enough to play inside.

Well his profile lists 289 for weight, so I would say once he got on campus he would add some more muscle and weight and be pushing 300. I say DT all the way.

Thats true, but I guess I am just banking on there being depth at DE, so he can stay inside. Of course it all depends on whether he jumps on board.

Very true. We should have decent depth both inside and outside, so he could play all over.

Penn State, Ohio State and Virginia are his top three schools at this point. He will visit tOSU on Jan 6.

Troutman says tOSU, UVS, and PSU are his final three with PSU in the lead slightly. However, he attributes that to having already visiting Happy Valley. He will also visit Maryland in January.
