"I'd say my aggressiveness is my best strength. Especially in this past year when I gained a lot of strength, and realized that when I become the aggressor, I have the ability to dominate. I really began to make my downfield blocks, and just finish blocks all together."

Matt is hearing alot from OSU, Miami, Michigan and Notre Dame. He has offers in hand from Iowa, Minny, and Wisky. He has previously visited Iowa(3 times) and Minny. He is scheduled to visit Wisky March 5th. Carufel is in no hurry to decide on a school, and carries a 3.7 gpa. He is a former teammate of 05 Iowa signee R. Eubanks.

From BSB...Matt has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Miami, Florida, LSU, Nebraska, Washington, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame. He will not be able to camp at OSU and probably won't even consider OSU until they offer (although he hasn't sent them a tape yet).

That has nothing to do with it. He left because he lost his starting job. It hurts depth, thats all. ND will go after Page and Robinson harder now.

i will officially throw the BS flag on this statement.

a RS Frosh that was inconsistent (unlike the bastion of consistency that is ND's offense), loses his starting job 7 games into the season to a junior, and he quits the team because of it.

you're not going to sell that nonsense here champ, especially in light of the numerous other defections in that program. On Irish Eyes you may get a few people to believe that.

That is delusional rationalization. Even ND blogs are not spinning this as "it hurts depth, that's all."

Having another schollie open up in South Bend only goes so far. There are three reasons for that. First, Page and Robinson won't help any college team this season. Second, neither Page nor Robinson is in your fold - not a bird in the hand if you will. Third, there is a limit to how many players ND signs this year.

Losing Carufel - a sophomore with his best playing days ahead of him, almost losing Stewart, all at a position of absolute and immediate need. These are not depth issues, you now have no true depth whatsoever on the line at OG.
