'06 MD CB A.J. Wallace (Penn State signee)

REFUTED: A.J. Wallace will be a Buckeye

scout

I have talked to a pretty reliable source close to the program who said A.J. is going to be a Buckeye. Yes, it is too early to know but the person who told me this also told me about Antonio Henton (my source told me he wold commit and that he was a stud. His 1 star does not do him justice. That's what my source told me). So I am just giving you what I heard!

Incredible news.

As someone who was around him both at the recruiting camp and on the sidelines of the Ohio North/South game... it wouldn't surprise me.

He really seemed to be blown away by what he was seeing. I didn't talk to him or anything, but got to watch him really enjoy watching the glenville boys, cwells, salley, boone, mwells and others hang out on the North sidelines.

Wait a little while and you should be approved...

These types of questions need to be put into the FAQ section... as many often wonder about this

BSB has a new article by Mike Wachsman which confirms AJ's official visit to Nebraska (Oct. 29th for the Oklahoma game), and announces AJ's official visit to Ohio State for the Texas game (Sept 10th). Although AJ denies any leaders, it is pretty clear OSU and Nebraska are out in front, with OSU likely leading, as he has already visited the campus and begun to bond with some Buckeye players. I would doubt that AJ commits after the Texas game, as he will probably follow through with the visit to Nebraska. Nebraska's DB coach, Phil Elmassian, is a great recruiter, and he should be able keep the Huskers in the game for a while. However, things look really good for OSU, and I'm guessing that his official to The 'Shoe for the Texas game will solidify the Bucks as his leader.

Bottom line - I don't doubt the rumor of a "silent verbal", but I imagine that AJ will take a few visits and delay his announcement, just to confirm his decision. This might be a similar case to Maurice Wells from last year's class.
