'06 MD CB A.J. Wallace (Penn State signee)

Rivals $

7/25/05

From Rivals100.com...A.J. will visit Nebraska on the weekend of 10/28 and OSU on the weekend of 9/9. He likes the chance to play early at OSU on either side of the ball. His other three visits will most likely come from Florida, Florida State, Oklahoma, Michigan, LSU or Miami (FL).

I wouldn't expect any serious news on A.J. as it pertains to OSU until the weekend of 9/10. After that we should have a better idea of how serious he is with OSU as compared to Nebraska and the 3 Florida schools.

This is one of those where we just need to sit back, relax, and let the process play out...

Does anyone know if this rumor is still holding true due to the most recent Scout/Rivals reports???
Or is A.J. playing the recruiting game?
What reports are you talking about? The last report on scout [20 July] still looked as favorable to OSU as in the past had. I don't subscribe to Rivals, is there something new there?

i posted an article on his recruiting thread today that stated that Nebraska was possibly the slight leader at this point. it was from the Maryland Rivals site though, and it sounded as if he was being nice to the guy and placating him about keeping Maryland on his list. so who knows. but he does mention that tOSU is right there with Nebraska.

Callahan is doing a great job at Nebraska...we are both the leaders for Wallace and Dublin. Hopefully Jimmy T can go 2-0...

Thnx for the update.

How the hell is Nebraska even in the same sentence as OSU [today of course]? On top of that, this guy plays CB. With our track record of DBs in the NFL, its a no-brainer.

i still believe this thread as being true, so i think that JT beats him for AJ. also, with the # of DE's that Nebraska is in on, i'd give JT a great chance for Dublin as well. Dublin and Rose seem to be our top two DLine targets at this point.
i got the feeling that AJ was being coy with the reporter and not telling him a whole lot. we'll see i guess, but Nebraska will NOT be able to duplicate the atmosphere that AJ will experience on 9/10. not even for the Oklahoma game when he's visiting.

From the Michigan site....

Ohio State, Nebraska, Florida State, Oklahoma and Florida are in the mix for official visits. He will visit OSU on Sept 10 and Nebraska on Oct 28. A.J. says OSU and Nebraska are recruiting him the hardest right now. He says he could possibly visit Michigan.

Nebraska, Ohio State, Michigan, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida, Florida State and Miami are his top schools. He has eliminated Virginia and Virginia Tech. He claims no leader. Wallace wants to see what its like on game day at Ohio State.:wink2:

Maryland cornerback A.J. Wallace began the process of arranging official visits a few weeks back and already has two set up. The Ohio State Buckeyes (September 10th) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (October 29th) were the first two schools to get dates, causing many to speculate that they stand as the versatile athlete's favorites. GoBlueWolverine talked to Wallace on Sunday regarding his visits and favorites.

The Ohio State Buckeyes (September 10th) and Nebraska Cornhuskers (October 29th) were the first two schools to get dates, causing many to speculate that they stand as the versatile athlete's favorites. When asked if that were true, Wallace sounded a bit unsure. " I guess…but I'm not really sure," Wallace said regarding whether the two schools led. "Those were just the two free dates that they have open. I haven't really gotten the chance to check out the open dates from the other schools yet."

Wallace indicated that the schools recruiting him the hardest at this point are Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, and the three Florida schools…and that he still plans to take all five official visits. "I'm going to try to set them up before the season," Wallace said regarding his last three officials. "My parents have to check their work schedules."

Michigan almost certainly will be one of the schools to get a visit according to Wallace. His camp experience in Ann Arbor is still fresh in his mind, and it was a positive one. "It was pretty good," Wallace said of his time at Michigan's camp. "Coach English was a good coach. I definitely learned a lot. I like Michigan. My parents enjoyed it. My mom liked it a lot because she is from down in Michigan. They have a good academic program."

GoBlueWolverine will have more on Wallace in the coming months.

From BSB...A.J. is open to playing DB or RB. He seems VERY excited about his trip to OSU on 9/10. He speaks highly of several people associated with the Buckeyes. He also has an official set up to Nebraska on 10/28.

A great read if you have premium access...

A.J. is listed as Rivals #3 corner in the country and a 4-star prospect. I could easily see him ending up as a 5-star by the time the final rankings come around.
