'06 MD CB A.J. Wallace (Penn State signee)

Nebraska Rivals $

10/31

Brief interview with AJ's mother Dee. She was able to go on the Nebraska trip with AJ. She liked the trip. When asked to compare Nebraska with tOSU, she said that they're the same, but different. She liked them both and said that it will be tough to pick from any of the schools that AJ is visiting.

Well Mamma always likes a closer distance, so I think that is a plus for us.

in all seriousness, what does "they're the same but different" mean. i have never understood that saying.

Well its like they are similar in some ways, but different in others.

I personally wouldn't get too hung up on the precise lingo (and I'm sure you are not) what I take from this is that today it is a close and difficult decision for them. Also, it implies Nebraska is close -- soon after the road trip -- with the Buckeyes. This is a good thing, as their ardor for the Huskers may dim, but that for Ohio State has (apparently) not done so.

Here's the article that is being alluded to above.
AJ rated his visit to Nebraska a 10. He said he liked the way the CB's played and the way Nebraska battled back in the game. AJ says that they are one of his top schools and definitely top 5 (as mentioned above).

Let's all remember that AJ was very excited and gave FSU a 10 after their visit as well. He seems to be a kid that is excited by visiting these campuses and seeing these big-time programs, and who can blame him. He has always kept a level head though, and gone home and let the visit sink in. The AA game is a couple months away, and with him announcing then, Coach Fickell has a ton of opportunities to keep tOSU fresh in AJ's mind.

Well, a couple of years ago, SirDarean Adams rated his visit to Nebraska a "14", then ended up signing with Michigan State. I'd say that Ohio State still has a chance if AJ's visit to Lincoln was only a "10".

It'd be nice to think that, but with his decision date set for that weekend, it would be safe to assume he will have his mind made before leaving Maryland for the trip.

we will also have to wait for the round of in-home visits to take place, then listen to all the speculation surrounding that, then listen to all the speculation the week of AA practices.

hopefully this year osu makes out well at the AA game having smith and wells on board and picking up Rose and Wallace.
