'06 FL WR Devin Parrish (Florida International signee)

"He is less than 160 lbs and did not play as a soph in an effort to improve his grades to a 2.5 or better, in which he has achieved this goal. These could be possible issues."

This probably explains why they havn't sent the early offer, I think this kid has to camp or have a great senior season to see one come his way. Also on BN's HelpingHand made reference to doubting he will ever get an offer.
HelpingHand also made reference to Parrish's coach is in the works of making a highlight reel of him, so it shouldn't be long until that hits the internet for those wanting to see footage.

A post from a Cryami Fan:
alot of South Florida people say he's slower than Roscoe and isnt as agile...but he is taller and could play CB on the next level imo. May be even skinnier than Roscoe was coming out of High School.

If I were OSU, I would offer him anyway. Think about it, Miami passed on Santonio Holmes and Albert Dukes, but nobody can say they weren't worthy....they are great South Florida athletes!!! At the time, I wanted us to offer them, and I want Miami to offer Devin Parrish as well because I think he's a playmaker just like his cousin Roscoe...remember Roscoe was passed over by the 3 Florida schools until the last minute when Coker offered him after taking over for Butch Davis.

Also, its EARLY in the recruiting season...Miami, Florida, and FSU will probably wait to see how Devin's senior year progresses before making a final decision on offering him.

but it may not matter anyway, because the word is that he may want to go out of state and not be under his cousin's shadow. If I had to bet the mortgage, I'd say Devin eventually ends up at OSU.

Does anyone really know how many offers this kid actually has?

Seems to me like he is waffling daily not only on who his favorite is, but who he even has offers from.

He tells Kurelic that he does not have an OSU offer, but would commit if we received one, then he says that scUM is his favorite.

Then he lists offers from Tennessee, Rutgers, Alabama & OSU....even though his favorites are Miami, Michigan, Auburn & Florida.......

I smell something fishy.....

Nothing is fishy here...this is a high school kid receiving national attention and giving a number of interviews which each site slants for their readers. We will not cross the line of bashing him nor will we speculate that there is something shady happening.

Also to clarify:

He tells Kurelic that he does not have an OSU offer, but would commit if we received one, then he says that scUM is his favorite.
Parrish claimed we were the early leader, he then stated scUM was his favorite in another article. His latest statement is that if an OSU offer comes he will commit. As far as I know he has not gone back to saying scUM is the favorite.

Florida WR Interested In USC

By Phil Kornblut
WR Devin Parrish (6-0 175) of Miramar, FL says he is very interested in USC, but he is focused on his senior season and is not caught up in the recruiting process right now. Parrish said he has offers from Tennessee, Ohio State, Louisville, Bowling Green, Western Michigan and Eastern Michigan. He's also hearing from Auburn, Miami, Florida State, Florida, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Kansas. He is favoring Ohio State which has made him a verbal offer. Parrish also plays cornerback but prefers receiver. "I feel I'm a playmaker," he said. "I'm quick and agile and have amazing hands." Parrish didn't start playing receiver until the fifth game of last season. In his first two games this season he had 8 catches for 150 yards and 3 touchdowns.

He keeps saying he has a verbal offer from us and he has also said he would commit as soon as offered. So imo he doesn't have an offer at this point. I like him and wouldn't mind having him but I have a feeling we are waiting to see how Small, Cumberland, and Ausberry shake out first. Anything changed with Parrish HH?
