he says he wants to visit osu one more time before making a final decision.

it will be interesting to see when he does this. His miami visit is on 12/16. JT is coming in next week. So, unless he visits right before x-mas, I dont know when he'll fit it in.

either way, its an osu/miami battle.

UF just got a commit from 5* JUCO LB Larry Grant. Couple that with the fact that they already have a commit from 4* LB Dustin Doe, and they are also sitting pretty with AJ Jones, Brandon Spikes, and Toryan Smith, the offer to McCarthy seems strange. I agree that it is most likely between us and Miami, and I really believe that we are in the driver's seat. Especially since Colin will visit here again before his decision (and after the Miami visit).

And the fact that we are graduating 3 stud LBs this year plus 2 next year. The kid could be in the 2 deep next year. I believe Miami is pretty loaded at LB right now, heck they moved James Bryant to FB.

We won't waste time recruiting a guy, JUST so we can pull the scholarship away from him. It will 100% NOT happen that McCarthy gets his scholarship pulled based on Gibson or Johnson's decisions.

So what if those hypothetical phone calls do happen? Believe it or not, I actually trust the Buckeye staff's judgment over Goodguy's, and if they want to pull some offers (e.g. Johnson and/or Gibson in favor of McCarthy), then so be it.

No what I meant is that Gibson or Johnson COULD get their schollie OFFERS pulled if McCarthy commits. It was just a thought, not a sky is falling cry.

McCarthy, Gibson, and Johnson would be a great way to finish this linebacker class. If grades end up not being an issue then there doesn't appear to be any reason that we can't take all of them. Johnson is a Mike I believe. McCarthy and Gibson would give us 4 outside backers in this class or 5 if you include Lenix. But we only took one outside backer last year so that would give us an average of three outside guys for the last two years. Not too shabby. We would really be reloaded.

Just my thoughts. The staff knows best so I wouldn't question any move they make.
