'06 FL OLB/TE Colin McCarthy (Miami Signee)

I'd be surprised if McCarthy doesn't end up a Buckeye, everything I've been hearing about him as been OSU bound. The only school that could've posed a challenge was UF, and Meyer offered waaaayy too late. He may just be getting a lil cold feet about getting so far away from home, but he'll most likely come around.

From FlaVarsity.com...more of the same except Colins says that his top 4 is Ohio State, Miami, USF, and Georgia Tech and they are all equal.

Despite this article, which could have been from quotes taken a week or two ago, it is still pretty apparent that he is down to OSU and Miami...

IIRC, PSU cancelled all visits OSU weekend because PSU staff wanted to concentrate on the game and the recruits wouldn't get the attention they should. Cumberland will be a grade casualty and not part of this class. Back to McCarthy.

McCarthy in the middle?

I dunno, but a year or two for him in the weightroom and training he should have the size. He is already 6'3'' and has that body that looks like he could put on the weight.

I just watched his videos from sunshinepreps and man does he read well and he fills nicely.

If he could man the middle and have Homan and Moeller on the outside that would be one real speedy, tough, smart group of Lb's.
