It all depends on Whitner, Youboty, and Pitcock. If all 3 come back our defense can be as good as it was this season. The front 4 and back 4 should be better and the LB's should still be good, although not great like this season. We still have a lot of depth at LB as long and D'Andrea and Freeman can stay healthy. Don't forget Hoobler, Kerr, and any of the pups in the LB battle with the above 2 and Animal Jr. I see the DB's having more speed next year (assuming Youboty and Whitner come back) adding Jenkins and O'neal to the starting lineup will make them much quicker than Salley and Everett.
On offense the OL loses 2 studs, but we have more than enough depth to fill the holes with plenty of backups. We have Ginn and Gonzo back with Hall, Dukes, Lyons, et al fighting for the 3rd and fourth spot. I would like to see more use of the big tall WR's. We will be better at RB next year with the addition of Chris Wells. Pittman really came into his own this season so next year should be the most dominate running game OSU has had in the past decade. To top it off we have at least 2 QB's who are capable of winning any game.
One of the biggest questions next year is who will be the kicker. This is the first time in in the past 4 years that we have had to worry about the kicker. On the bright side punter is solid for a few more years.
I didn't realized how favorable the schedule was next year. Except for the big early game at Texas the other hard games are all at home. My prediction: If we beat Texas we could be back in the Fiesta Bowl (that's where the NC is next year right?) for the 4th time in 5 years.
