Apparently Alex Daniels was on the sidelines today during the jersey scrimmage. I don't subscribe to the Insiders through Bucknuts so I can't say I saw the post myself but apparently that's where the info came from :wink:

my friend whos a freshman at St.Francis Desales in columbus plays varsity and scrimmaged alex daniels' team brookhaven and said he was pretty good, and that Coach Jacoby which is the coach of desales heard from brookhavens coach that alex is going to oklahoma, so this is not such good news

LoneStar has Norman nailed. It is the dreariest place you could ever spend four years of your life. Unless you grew up punchin' dogies, there is nothing to recommend Norman, Oklahoma.

I attended the last Buckeye/Sooners game there 20 years ago -- Marcus Dupree's last game as a collegian (you remember Marcus, he was that year's Greatest-Running-Back-Who-Ever-Lived according to Barry Switzer and the know-nothing Oklahoma media) -- and the stadium isn't as nice as some high school facilities in Ohio.

If Alex visits Norman, and I surely hope he will, I can't imagine he'd want to live there.

So I think Alex is ours ...if we really want him.

The most recent update from Duane Long sounds much more promising for OSU than anything else that I have read recently.

Sounds like he is still really ours to lose...

kurelic update- premium

He was at the UC game- he said it was "all right" and knew they were going to win. He met with Coach Fickell, Coach Tucker (who are both recruiting him) and Coach T. He may also go to Marshall next weekend.

Alex is focusing on the season and has not set up any official visits but his favorites continue to be, OU, LSU, USC (only if they offer) and tOSU. He also it beginning to like Pitt because his teammate Dominic Jones verballed there (Daniels may take a visit there with Dominic). He is also looking at Miami and Florida.

His Mother doesn't want him to go to tOSU because of the potential trouble he can get into. I think we should go with his Mother on this one. Save a schollie for someone who wants to be a Buckeye and isn't going to end up suspended from the team.
