'05 GA TE Stephen Gowland (Auburn walk-on)

does the fact SG comes from same area as Pollack and Green mean he's getting pressure from them & GA? wouldn't he like to be the next Krenzel.. and have TV announcers tell everyone he's another tOSU brainiac studying molecular biology or some propeller head concentration... sounds like he's a lock on making the collegiate all american scholastic athlete teams... Tressel probably got a call from Geiger or tOSU President to recruit this kid...

Gowland enjoyed his visit to Auburn and liked how much they threw to the tight end. The Auburn coaches have offered other tight ends and want to see what happens with them before they decide on Gowland. Ohio State is still on his list and he mentions wanting to come to Columbus for a game.

Stephen still leads his team in tackles with 55 after 5 games. Against Berkmar, he also caused a fumble and recovered another one. His first TD reception of 15 yds broke the 0-0 tie in the first quarter. He jumped and with one arm tipped a nearly overthrown ball back to himself, dragging his feet as he fell across the back line of the end zone. Nice catch. On the 43 yd pass, he slanted to the left, beating the cornerback by a couple of steps, caught the ball in stride along the sideline then beat the safety to the corner of the endzone. Big game against Brookwood Friday night. They are ranked #3 in GA 5A, Parkview is rated #4.

Gowland,

I just got through the entire thread and your interview. I'm excited for the opportunities that are no doubt coming your way. Best of luck in the recruiting process and the remainder of the season.

November 20th. 1:00pm. scUM @ tOSU. Their truly is no bigger stage, no better showcase of college football. I've been to Gator games, including the Cocktail Party, and its just not the same. I hope you can make it.

Like you, I'm from the south. (Daytona Beach) I love it up here.

I can't wait to see you roaming the sidelines up here for a game.

Go Bucks!!
