From down 13 at one point, to an 11 point win on the road. I'll take it anyday of the week.
The Buckeyes played an inspired game, but depth and rebounding caught up to them.
Our Cowboy Coach = "Slappy tClown"
Listen to this RANT by MSU Grad, Radio host Mike Valenti after the ND loss. It is absolutely classic. It epitomizes the SSS (Suffering Spartan Syndrome).

What's worse, is that he also said he didn't want to waste a first half timeout.
Now, this is the same guy that had a nice lead against ND late in the first half, had ND pinned deep in their own end, and DID NOT use a timeout to try to get the ball back (in what would be great field position)...
It's a testosterone filled ass-hat contest over there. It's all about "I'm better and funnier than the next guy". And the junior high "Mine is huge" mentality. There are an inordinate amount of poop and fart jokes too.
It's like being at a Monster Truck-Pull contest and arguing over who the...
I am on that site. www.spartantailgate.com.
I am however, rather under the radar over there though.
At that site, if you something good about MSU football, you get slammed by the DE's (Demand Excellence'ers) for painting a rosy picture out of a hopeless situation. They say we should fire...
I agree. But this is indeed Johnelle Smith.
Caulcrick will probably get 4 carries for 65 yards, and then won't see the field in the 2nd half. Johnelle will explain it at the presser that he felt they needed to get around the ends with the running game, and not try to go up the middle so much...
Thanks for the explanation Capt'n Obvious!
I just thought it was funny how they mis-phrased it in the story text. It summarizes most Spartan fans' feelings rather accurately.
Of course Tressel would never say THAT. Tressel is IMHO a class guy, and the best coach in the Big Ten.
Did Tressell rip JLS or what here?
Misprint, or what?

The links don't work, but you can find these places on mapquest.
Most of the East Lansing/MSU bars are all a reasonable walk from the stadium....
*I suggest the one's with the asterisks*

In fairness, it runs the whole spectrum. It's not all on JLS. Injuries, grades, criminal problems, transfers. Mysteriously, some just never even enrolled.
WARNING: ALLEGED STORY FOLLOWS. I REPEAT, ALLEGED. I HAVE NO FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE, AND IF THE MODS CHOOSE TO, THEY CAN DELETE THIS STORY...
Yep. Here's another little snippet for you:
JLS came to MSU in 2003. Of his recruits in the 2004 class (15th ranked recruiting class in the country), 15 of them are no longer on the team:
Richard Abney WR 5-11 187 4.4 5.5 Forestville, MD
Eric Andino DE 6-4 212 4.75 5.7 Arlington Heights, IL...
You talking about Wiley and Warrick? Have either of them made a hit this year?
They come up and stop the run after the D Line and LBs whiff, but I haven't seen these guys near a receiver all year. They play like there is a "15 yard halo rule" for wide receivers.
Sometimes they are so alone...
Can I ask whay some of you kind folks were concerned about Trannon? I know he's out for this week's game, but what exactly is it about his game that had any of you really concerned?
I've been watching the kid for 4 seasons (RS in 2002), and haven't been impressed.
He has not come up big in...
Should not have a problem getting tix for a smidge over face value this weekend. Three losses in a row tends to do that.

That team is dead and buried. I've seen this season before. Lots of times.
Do not take MSU lightly, but rest well at night my friend. They are mentally very soft right now. If OSU scores first they win big. If MSU scores first, OSU still wins but only by 7-10 in the 4th quarter.
It was 2001, and many say the one second remaining was legit.
Regardless, keep in mind that earlier on that posession (2-3 plays earlier), MSU coach Bobby Williams called his last timeout at the same time a flag was thrown on Michigan for 12 "men" (use the term loosely) on the field.
The...
