This game should be 14-10 Wisconsin at half if they just do their job. Instead, 21-7.
Still have OSU winning, but 55% instead of 80% if they're down 14-10.
If 1) the weather isn't shit, 2) we don't fumble 3 times, and 3) Fields ankle is 90% or better, I just can't see how they beat OSU. I can't see them scoring more than 24 and holding us less than 27. I'll say 31-17.
While I'd love to be 6-0 at the first bye, I'd still take 5-1. I think they should win the next 4 and be 9-1 and that's all you can hope for.
And if they do drop one of those 6 games, Nebraska may be the best loss to take. Technically Cincinnati, but nobody wants to lose that game.
I'm high on Martinez, but I need to see them both this year before assuming Martinez is the next Johnny Football and Fields is a slightly better JT Barrett. I think they're in the same level of caliber, but as stated Fields needs to show it.
Hopefully. I just think MJ is a day two NFL draft pick if he came back. He was a 4th rounder after an off year playing unnaturally at center. 3rd rounder, and maybe outside shot at being a 2nd rounder, is certainly reasonable.
I'll be ecstatic if Jonah Jackson is a day 2 pick. I just assume...
If I'm a 3-4 defense in the NFL, I have him earmarked as a late round steal. I think he could be a great outside linebacker in a 3-4.
Edit: having said that, for OSU I could see him being a 4th year bloomer that we see sometimes and him seamlessly replacing Malik Harrison in 2020. At least...
If Michael Jordan came back, I see no way Jackson comes here. So it is a one-to-one comparison. And while I have a hard time seeing him match what I think Jordan would have been next year if he came back and flipped back to his natural guard position (maybe 1st team all-B1G and 2nd team AA)...
If they land Robinson and Knighton, it would surely go down as one of the best offensive hauls in football history. At least in the age of recruiting rankings. I know there was one year where Alabama literally had a video game recruiting class that is probably the best of all time offensively...
Well, Zach Evans is the best RB this cycle. But I agree that if I could have a pick of any RB not named Zach Evans, I prefer Robinson over Milton. Just need to hope that Texas can flip the OU running back commit.
This. If Fields is healthy all season, then I don't think it's an issue. Not that there's any guarantee he's a stud, but I do think his floor is a good college quarterback. But if he gets hurt, there are major questions behind him.
Yes, I would think that this 100% confirms that his offer was contingent on a June camp "tryout". Not that he would have committed to OSU with a committable offer, but there's no way they aren't on a 7 team final listing if he didn't have to go to camp.
I have thought this as well. But when most of the visit is with a current player(s), you're always going to get 100% of their attention. And then when you factor that a single position coach probably only has a 2-3 guys to keep tabs on, it's only Day who is spread thin. Which isn't nothing, but...
I personally have 1a Robinson, 2a Milton, but yes not a big difference. Big difference in type of player, but not caliber. I like Robinson's home run ability. Milton is a guy who will devastate you over the course of a game wearing you down.
Having said that, and I agree Evans isn't a real...
June is a MASSIVE month for recruiting. Particularly the weekend of June 21. So if the defensive recruiting is stuck where it currently is on July 1, you can start to worry a little then. But until then, I'm cautiously optimistic about what could go down next month.
Yea IMO there's arguments for and against them being a 1 seed. I personally think they could have easily been above NC and/or gonzaga. But I don't see an argument for them being in Duke's region.
