    Jake Diebler (Head Coach)

Well, for certain-sure I wouldn't walk away from, what? $3.5mill/year? Naw, I'm too mercenary. However, if I had a nickel for everytime I read that tOSU coulda had Dusty, believe we could give Diebs a nice raise. Seriously, probably not about salary, agreed, but do believe that Diebs is...

Miami (OH) Redhawks (Basketball Official Thread)

Can you spell C-I-N-D-E-R-E-L-L-A? Last time I can remember, the 'Skins played Kentucky in regional, and they put three guys on Wally S, leaving two to guard the other four. Strategy worked, Wally scored his points, but Kentucky advanced.

    Jake Diebler (Head Coach)

Read in several places that Diebs and Bjork are 'negotiating' for a new salary for Diebs. Article goes on to say that Diebs won't be back unless they come to mutual resolution. That gives credence to Mike's 3 year contract, but never get all the information, do we? Anyway, personally believe...

    2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

That's what the Dance is all about. Playing the games. Upsets are legendary. What, #1 Arizona was upset by #16? Historically, some of the biggest upsets have been #12 rising up to smite #5. (nothing scientific, just my fuzzy recollections). Probably why the term "Cinderella Team" was...

2027 OH OL Davis Seaman is a Buckeye!!!

Can certainly see that more personally. Moving to Dublin in September, and the 'local' taxes are hitting $14,000 per annum. So the educational opportunities will help keep the resale market high?

    CB Devin Sanchez (Official Thread)

Well, sounds like Devin will be thrown into the fire this year. As the newbie, suspect the opposing QB will target the newcomer. And that the S will be slanting toward Devin's CB side.

    2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Well, since the games are being played indoors, don't much care. As an oldster, changing time zones is a problem, but as a youngster, doesn't impact as much. Still, none of those cities are a bus ride. Does tOSU air force have a G-5?

    Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Nuts. We don't fly into Columbus to close on our house until the 24th.

OL Taylor Decker (All B1G, B1G OL of Year, All American, B1G Champion, National Champion, Pro Bowl, Detroit Lions)

Well, there's taxes, rep commission, and you know, $5 million just doesn't go as far these days.....but yeah, putting away $1 million a year, would yield $10 million (w/o compounding), and that might provide a comfortable living just on its own. And no, don't know what kind of retirement plan...

    CB Devin Sanchez (Official Thread)

I'd bet one could count on one hand the number of times a freshman came in and starred on tOSU football team. Certainly, someone will prove me wrong , but the point being that just being on the field as a frosh requires talent, and knowledge, else the coaches wouldn't play you...

S&C Coach Anthony Schlegel (Official Thread)

Do so enjoy that tOSU brings back former players to coach, administer, etc. the athletic programs at their alma mater. Has certainly paid dividends with Hartline and Laurinaitis (sp?) as frontline coaches. Coach Mick and Mark Pantoni have been here so long, they should be considered Buckeyes...

    Ravi Bellamkonda, tOSU President

Surprise. Surprise. Surprise. An internal hire hasn't happened at tOSU, well if you except Gorden Gee, who seems to always be lurking around. Don't understand much of his credentials, but after reading the above posters, seem acceptable to me. Being elevated from the #2 to the Big Chair...

Resulting Oil costs (and not politics)

Just curious, maybe someone can clear the fog from my eyes. OK, so we're at war with Iran. And gas prices go up. Even though USA is oil self-sufficient, how come does gas at the pump rise? Clearly what's already in the oil to gasoline pipelines was extracted at lower costs, (before this Iran...

    SF Brandon Noel (Official Thread)

Well, Noel got in for a few minutes. Not entirely certain whose minutes he took, probably Bynum's, but from what I saw he played OK. Not entirely certain he's 'game ready' yet, but was encouraged by what I saw. Twas nice to see both he and Tilly in there together, but do want to see more...

    Bracketology and Selection Sunday Discussion

Would imagine that the 'real' bracketologists are going to get tired of placing B10 teams, as can see up to 8-10 in the Dance. Always thought that the goal was to spread out the teams amongs the four brackets in a fair and equal manner. The same way used to when the ACC was king of the...

    2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Thought that tOSU played very well against Xichigan. Had we made some of our usual points around the basket, Thorton and Devin, then might have prevailed. Credit the skunkbears 7'3" center for being intimidating. Especially proud of the 'never quit' motto. Refreshing to see Noel get some...

2027 IL DL Brayden Parks (Verbal Offer)

Legacies are hard to shift away from their own hallowed ground. Someone scratched deep to find the connection to Zorich. Maybe tOSU pushes the 'set your own legacy' at him? I mean the above, except when it comes to tOSU legacies......

2027 OH OL Davis Seaman is a Buckeye!!!

Certainly agree that Indiana reset the world of college expectations. Who woulda thunk that kids, mostly from JMU, could come in and beat the best of the college world. I'd love it if someone (else) would do the work to quantify how 5* OL do from HS to pro draft. Probably a Pantoni has had...
