    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

I’ve never been as worried about backup reps, especially when you’re talking about an extra 5-10 snaps a game. They played 4 RBs, 4-5 TEs, and rotated at RG. I expected more at WR, but it’s clear they really only had 3. If they think they have depth at a position, they’ll rotate.

That’s ideal, but unless they take a portal OT, they’ll need him at RT. Carter Lowe and Justin Terry are the only other tackles on the roster and they’ll probably need another year.

HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

I think it’ll take a season for him to gain the strength and experience to be a starting WR.

Don't have enough time to kick that many fields goals.

HC Ryan Day (B1G Coach of Year, B1G Champion, National Champion)

I don't know enough about scheme to know whether Day's offense is outdated, but the experience of Howard, burst of Judkins and Henderson, and a stable right side of the OL was the difference between last year and this one. More than changing scheme, they need 1. Sayin to deal with pressure and...

    2026 tOSU Special Teams Discussion

Yeah, seems like a decent kicker, but only a slight upgrade.

    2026 tOSU Special Teams Discussion

I agree, but it’s also much more difficult to maintain elite ST performance than people are letting on. Tressel started out with an all time duo in Nugent and Groom, then slightly downgraded Sanders and then Huston. He had good Ps and Ks players after that, but no All Americans. Here are the...

    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

Did they use tempo in the 2nd half? They still didn’t run many plays.

    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

Maybe, it’s hard to know if that would actually have helped him, or he just would’ve gotten sped up all year and struggled. Onianwa being a bust really hurt them. Siereveld should’ve been in Fryar’s spot this year. They went from 1.5 tackles to .5. Daniels was put in a bad spot and it was...

    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

Seems to be harder to accept when a team hits a wall because there’s not as much you can do about it. Sometimes you have to ride the storm out with the guys you have and work to fix it afterwards. Sayin had a great year, but there’s at least 2 clips on him missing wide open guys for TDs. The...

2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Most of the Tressel era, people were bemoaning the lack of a pocket passer. Now it’s the opposite. If you have a running QB, you’ll have to deal with him getting beat up. Meanwhile, people want to bubble wrap every important player for 3/4th of the season. Julian needs to take some easy...

2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

I don’t think it makes that big a difference, but they’re clearly better off than they were.

    2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

I’d argue that had more to do with the script being the first plays they ran after the break.

    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

Agree. I give him huge credit for being able to play LT. Never thought he'd be one to switch and he did a great job, but against mid-good talent. He'd be best at RG with the ability to swing out to OT if needed. Would give them great flexibility. I'm sure he wants to keep him on as co-OC, but...

    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

I'm not sold on Bowen. He's done well as a recruiter, but I didn't see any development or significant run game designs. I also can't remember the last time OSU had an OL coach that more than 50% of the fanbase liked. It's gone Bollman > Wariner > Studrawa > Frye > Bowen. Bollman staying on for...

WR Coach Cortez Hankton (Official Thread)

Yeah, its hard to know who caused what at LSU (other than Kelly). He seemed to spend more time tanning and taking acting lessons than coaching.

    2026 tOSU Offense Discussion

It’s not as big a concern if Ian Moore can start and Siereveld can move to RT or RG. Daniels has to slide to RG and they need to find another OT in the portal. A lineup of LT: Moore LG: Montgomery C: Hinzman/Padilla RG: Siereveld/Hinzman/Daniels RT: Siereveld/ Transfers would be much better...

    2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

I have no doubt there was a huge focus on Michigan this year, but I think this was a flawed team on the OL and how Sayin dealt with pressure, and no one really understood the depth of the issues until the last 2 games. By then it was too late to make the changes they probably needed to...

    2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

The schedule didn’t push them like it did last season, and the team didn’t grow as much. Next year’s will be significantly tougher, and we’ll see if it leads to longer strides and more creativity.

    2025 Cotton Bowl: #2 tOSU vs #10 Miami-FL, Wed 12/31 7:30 ET at JerryWorld

Not going to tell anyone to be confident, but the direction is clear. Daniels could not get back in his drop. They desperately needed to move him to guard or replace him. Obviously there are issues at RG, too. The OL did not have the development and adaptation it did last year. Ian Moore needs...
