Lighty has nothing to do with the PG position.
Turner, even though he'll probably commit as many TOs as Hill or Simmons, at least brings playmaking ability to the table.
I do think we need to try something new with regards to PG. It's painfully obvious that neither Simmons nor Hill are viable options at this point in time. They just can't handle full time PG duty. They can't handle a press, they take bad shots, and neither has shown any ability to create for others.
One thing I've noticed this game more than any other is that we're really slow at making passes, and that just kills you against the zone because it allows them to recover. If we make passes a half second faster we'd be getting the open looks Minnesota is getting.
Edit: The most discouraging...
We're giving up way too many open threes. We need to shore that up before we play some athletic teams.
Our offense, when ran properly, can be pretty good. The problem of course is that we're so inconsistent, and the bad passes and bad shots compound things.
These final few minutes and the...
We're just not doing anything right now.
Someone needs to step up. Where has Turner been all game?
Also, can we PLEASE start giving Mullens the ball. It's not like he hasn't been open numerous times.
Another thing I've noticed is the poor ball movement. We're dribbling to try and beat the zone when we should be passing to beat it.
You'd figure we'd know this considering we're a zone team and all.
We are just a BAD shooting team all around. Our defense needs to keep this game close and lets hope the shots start falling or we start feeding Mullens/Lauderdale every possession.
The Cavs looked pretty good tonight considering the quality of opponent.
I thought our defensive rotation was slow at times and that lead to quite a few open looks for Houston. But other than that, solid performance all around.
You can tell this is a young team with how up and down we can be when it comes to consistency.
This team is going to cause a lot of happiness and some occasional sadness throughout the year, though thankfully there should be more up times than there will be down times. Too much talent on this...
