Game Thread Southern Cal 18, at tOSU 15 (Sept 12th, 8 pm, ESPN)

How well did fans travel for games against Va-Tech and Arkansas? I don't foresee a turnout like we had from Texas in '05, but am certain it won't be anything to sneeze at either.

Anyone, speculation aside, know how well USC fans travel? Will there be droves in Columbus, or barely able to cover their ticket allotment?

He is getting married the 26th. And while i consider myself a friend, the weekend of the 13th was out of the question given all my current obligations to other friends coming into Columbus. Otherwise I would've gladly taken him up to Michigan to scalp tickets there, as in my experience has...

This is entirely a shot in the dark, but given that you are the resident ND fan on the board I was wondering if you possibly had any ticket connections to a Notre Dame game this fall. Specifically the Nevada or Michigan State games are my targets for a friend getting married. He doesn't fall...

Spring Practice Discussion, and Why I Think It's Unfair That I Don't Get to Watch

Which says what exactly? His comment would be far more meaningful if he were a linebacker rather than a quarterback. Our defense has more of a reactionary mindset than a disruptive one. It's impossible to gauge just how much constituent elements of an open practice affect a football team...

Spring Practice Discussion, and Why I Think It's Unfair That I Don't Get to Watch

Yes because a game plan isn't affected by someone else already knowing what it is. Maybe Eisenhower should've invited Hitler for tea on the English side of the channel the week leading up to D-day. If you want an example of what a closed practice, and great game planning does look back to a...

Spring Practice Discussion, and Why I Think It's Unfair That I Don't Get to Watch

Tressel has nothing to gain by showing practice to the public. Why not let USC wait until Sept. 12th until they find out what the offense has been up to. Rich Rod needs to garner support, and rally a fan base. He needs the attention, because there is little cause to believe that is acquired...

Nothing strange about it considering where he has coached, grew up etc. When he finally does land that type of back that is successful you'll understand the obsession.

WR Santonio Holmes (Super Bowl XLIII MVP)

Not at all, honestly I'd be surprised if he was even allowed to have caffeine. Gary Hall was probably the most notorious, regular pot smoking swimmer. Even he knew when it was time to put down the pipe. Training on that level is structured, and regimented in such a way that there leaves...

LOL, or proves how little you know about olympic level training. There is a very small window to do things like that, and he certainly took advantage.

Whereas in Evanston you're dropped off by the El, maybe dabble in mediocre tailgating, and watch the Buckeyes play in the most unimpressive Big 10 stadium.

Northwestern pushes for football game at Wrigley Field

I've watched a game in Evanston before, and it was nothing special. If they were to move the OSU-NW game to Wrigley I would make it a point to go see it.
