Everyone keeps saying that Porter isn't worth the #1 pick because he doesn't do everything great, he just does everything well. That was the same knock on Brandon Roy when he came out and he was a senior who had more time to develop his game in college. Without his knee issues he would have...
For those of you who have not seen Williams play and want him because he's listed as a SF, he has some work to do to play 3 in the NBA. He shot ridiculously this year, but he didn't show great ball-handling skills and didn't go to the post that much. I see him as more of a complimentary player...
I think Kanter is more of a banger. Think bigger Sullinger he played him pretty well last summer. Anyone think we try to deal Sessions now with his value high?
Good to see we're getting some help moving forward. Thank you to the Clippers. Also loved seeing Haden and Cribbs there with Gilbert. Go Cavs!
Oh ya and Lebron, karma really is a bitch isn't it?
Went to the game last night and it was incredible. Some of the energy was back in Progressive Field even though there were only 15000 there. Laporta really hit the ball well last night and it was good to see Santana bust out of his slump. As soon as Santana hit it everyone knew it was gone...
A couple notes about the Browns night yesterday...
1. I don't really like the Taylor pick like many of you. However, I do trust Holmgren and Heckert to know more about football than myself so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I guess the theory behind the pick is have 2 big run...
After watching this rwam this season, I'm convinced Byron Scott is the right guy for the job. They started off terribly in the first half of the season, had all those injuries, and I thought Scott was going to lose them. But with the way they're been playing lately, extremely short handed, I...
Heard that too, but its curious because only Windhorst and one other reporter have really talked about it. That being said I think Windhorst is one of the best beat writers in the NBA.
I would love to get another first rounder or two for this year. Although the draft is pretty weak at the top, I think there are some potential gems to be had in the middle to late picks of the first round.
Sounds like the best strategy to rebuild with. We have limited assets and must make use of our TPE. At the very least the turnover on the team from year to year adding young talent should be interesting to watch.
The article by Whitlock was classic. I laughed at the end though when he mentioned Varejao. Ya like the Cavs are going to trade one of their better players to Miami after Gilbert promised a championship for the self titled former king. Maybe we would bite on Mario Chalmers and Eddie House for...
If the rumor is true, I would have pulled the trigger on that deal yesterday. Varejao is good, but he is our biggest trade asset and that is a pretty good deal.
The correct way to build this team is to use our assets to only acquire young talent. We have enough veterans on the team, but acquiring players like Al Jefferson or Barbosa or even a Jonny Flynn are steps in the right direction for this team.
Completele ignorant statement. We got him for the 30th pick in the draft. A stretch 4 who is capable of maybe 18 and 8 a night for basically nothing. He was a bad matchup against Garnett, but if they get past Boston he matches up well against Rashard and you're singing a different tune.
Difference is, all those teams have cap space, the Cavs don't. Would you want them to sign Mike Miller to their mid-level exception? Not a big enough splash. Your expectations are unrealistic.
Easy there... The Cavs are trying to make things happen they just have less options. Reghi said on the radio today they're working their ass off to pull off a huge name before tomorrow although he wouldnt name it. The Cavs are certainly not just sitting there praying for Lebron to decide...
