Hoke's been recruiting him hard since April. The Michigan staff already started recruiting for the class of 2013 and he's #1 on our board. Hoke's stopped in several times to Dymonte's school, and (more importantly) Fickell hasn't even offered. I'm not understanding why you'd think there's any...
Right, but that was at Ball State (among the worst funded programs in D-1) and San Diego State (a school that averages 1 bowl game every 10 years).
You're right though, plain and simple, he needs to win now at Michigan. It will be a disappointment if he doesn't make it to a bowl game in his...
I agree, I don't understand why he would do this.
I actually expect Hoke to give Kalis a hard sell this weekend. If Kalis doesn't commit, we may not have room. Michigan is running out of scholarships for offensive linemen. It'll be interesting to see whether he commits this weekend.
Meanwhile...
My advice: don't come to Ann Arbor this year. If the final score doesn't make you sick, the amount of excuses you'll hear from my fellow Wolverine fans will.
Think of it as being our "players to be named later" from when we "traded" you the Boren family.
Hopefully, thinking of it that way is a little less painful... I know how much this must suck for you guys. Losing Dee Hart last year was brutal, as was the Justin Boren transfer.
In light of his performance at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp. Michigan offered him, too.
The temperature was in the mid-80s, and he remarked about how cold it was...
Yeah I'm skeptical of some of the info that trickles down from there, and also why I'm asking here.
The rumor from them seems to be that Michigan didn't take Sevon Pittman's commitment (sounds iffy) because of grades (more iffy) and because they feel good about the chances of landing Adolphus...
Michigan's premium scout board apparently seems to think that Hoke & Co. suddenly have favorable odds to land Washington (and Stanford). Does anyone know if there is any substance to this?
I hope that sheds some light on it. Of course, there could be other (more trivial) factors, like Tressel being fired (and Strobel hails from Mentor) that caused this to happen so quickly. However, I'll take his word for it.
I think it's likely we end up in the top 3 of the Big Ten for this class. *Rumor* has it that we picked up another commit from another recruit, a four-star offensive tackle from California (Erik Magnuson), too.
Edit: It may be more than a rumor... Rivals' Brandon Oliver just tweeted it...
stowfan is right, Diamond seems to be a Michigan lean.
A Michigan blog recently posted an interview with Jordan Diamond's mother done by URecruit's Tom VanHaaren
Most notably:
Has been on all the visits with Jordan, she mentions enjoying: Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio State, and Notre...
