I agree, I don't understand why he would do this. I actually expect Hoke to give Kalis a hard sell this weekend. If Kalis doesn't commit, we may not have room. Michigan is running out of scholarships for offensive linemen. It'll be interesting to see whether he commits this weekend. Meanwhile...

Michigan's premium scout board apparently seems to think that Hoke & Co. suddenly have favorable odds to land Washington (and Stanford). Does anyone know if there is any substance to this?

I hope that sheds some light on it. Of course, there could be other (more trivial) factors, like Tressel being fired (and Strobel hails from Mentor) that caused this to happen so quickly. However, I'll take his word for it.
