As someone who thought this team was floating by with no gumption early in the season, I'm extremely pleased to see this team fight this one out. I still tend to think that the Buckeyes aren't ready for elite competition, but we won't know this year.
I'm with jlib both about the assistants...
It's not a matter of whether I want the Buckeyes to lose. If they continue to play without urgency and fire they will. Sure they may be able to go through the Big 10 this year continuing to play mediocre football because the Big 10 sucks. But next year after another soft out of conference...
Woody Hayes said something like nothing cleanses the soul like getting your ass kicked. I think this team could use a soul cleansing. Considering the long view of this team not being bowl eligible this year, maybe getting beat up may be the best thing for the Buckeyes in the long run. Walking...
As someone who doesn't know anything to contribute to take anyone's place I'm disappointed but I understand. Always was interested and something to get through game week. You won't by chance be running your By The Numbers section anywhere else are you? It was probably my favorite part.
I don't know. Also I don't know that anyone should be engaging Johnny Simon without pads. If Vrabel is going to continue to do that he's going to win the coach's competition for most bruises/injuries running away.
This could probably go in each thread, but this is the major spot on offense where the team needs more production so on the first day of spring practice it's being reported that Devin Smith, Evan Spencer, and Chris Fields were with the First team offense.

I watch a fair share of the NBA. Love my Thunder. Love my Buckeyes. Love Deshaun`s game for the Buckeyes. I think he has a stretch 4 game with a 3 size. I don't think he has a position in the NBA. He won't be able to defend either position in the pros.
I'm with you on all of those points. 100%. Except don't forget hair. They loved their players' hair.
But really, it's what 27 just posted. A lot of the things being written and said about Marotti are the same things that were written and said about Barwis. I think strength and conditioning is...
I think you're right. I'm excited about the things being written about Marotti and the offseason program, however if I were to mention one word it should at least make everyone scale back expectations about the difference it will make a tad, maybe: Barwis.
I don't think whether JB Shugarts was a scout 5* matters at all in the LJB rankings. What seems to matter in the LJB rankings are the performance of the player while at OSU.
What is clear is that both quantity and quality of performance matter in the LJB rankings. Clarrett only performed for...
This. I tried to quibble as I read, but any amount of thought required that I agree. Amazing work. Comprehensive. No better overall look at recruiting.
Looking at the big picture it's clear why OSU had problems: the lines. We had no 5* defensive or offensive lineman. And especially a paucity of...
