Stephen Strasburg (2019 World Series MVP)

that makes as much sense as any other possible explanation. a little league baseball season used to be 20 games or so. i was talking to a fifth grader the other day who said he played little league then played traveling ball that had a 60 game schedule. that is 80 games! the kid is only eleven.

    Your Weirdest Interview Question.

No, they specifically asked for the square root of 1000. Many people who aren't paying attention will answer 100 without thinking it through. It was for a trading job where you had to do a lot of accurate calculations on the fly in your head. I think I answered that it was "10 radical 10"...

Ha-ha, yeah he was shaking so bad he could hardly separate the white copy from the yellow copy of my receipt! I was trying to draw it around the corner, but ended up hitting it dead straight off the tee. It rolled about a foot into the rough which actually helped because the ball was sitting...

seems like it is way worse in the mid-atlantic. tons of 90+ degree days out there. i would guess a lot of courses will be looking into that new hybrid bermuda grass that is supposed to putt as well as bent.

Champions is 29 bucks with cart between 11 and 1 during the week. I highly recommend it. That is a great golf course. Tee to green it is as demanding as any golf course in town. You have to be able to work the ball off the tee to play well there. Many holes will force you to hit cuts or...

2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits

Its a damn shame all around. It is a situation that could have only happened on a Sunday in one of the final groups. Had this happened on a Thursday there likely wouldn't have been fans in the bunker and he would have obviously noted that he was in a trap. I was very pissed at the PGA until I...

Ahh Duffys... My favorite bar in the country. I distinctly remember being thrown out of there for taunting the Michigan fans after we demolished them in 2005. Other than that, never had any problems there. Once we bacame regulars, we had our own table which was always reserved for us during...

2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits

Have you guys seen Dusin Johnson play hole number 5? It is a double dog leg 598yd par five. As the crow flies it is only about 500 yards, but it is a 340 yard carry over water, heather and bunkers to cut the dog leg. Johnson has hit SW and PW in there the first two days. That guy is so long...

the last couple of weeks i have noticed a lot of hot spots on the various courses i have played. most of them have been in the fairways, thankfully. i haven't seen anyone having trouble with their greens yet.

I played out at Northstar yesterday. If you haven't been out there I highly recommend it. It is just off 71 north of Polaris mall near Bent Tree. The club is semi-private, so the greens are much faster than your average public course. It is very similar to Cook's Creek (it was designed by...

the biggest change is the re-routing of the par 5 4th hole. they moved the green about 100 yards to the right just over the lake. besides that, they dug out all of the traps. they are absolute monsters now. even the fairway traps are 5 feet deep. they blew up the green on 16 and re-did the...

before they put scarlet on steroids, they used to play the tips. i doubt they do that anymore. coach brown sets up the course, and he purposely makes it ridiculously hard. i would imagine they play it somewhere around 7200 yards (par 70 btw). when it is 45 degrees and windy that is no walk in...
