The kid is living a life we only dream of. Is he spoiled.....yes. Is he a distraction......yes. Is he a gifted and enable athlete...yes.
Are many jealous......yes.
Would I allow my son to act like that? Nope. Do I really give a rat's ass? Nope.
Carlos Hyde is my favorite offensive weapon. He runs HARD.....get the extra yard, and last year was a huge difference. I think you need to feed this runner and let the defenses try to close down the run and then, pick your spots to go long. I love to watch him run. He makes the offensive...
Turnovers---
Northwestern was amped and better than we expected-they are a quality team.
Ohio State did not play well early and perhaps not as good as we loyal fans expect....key word is expect.
Tackling early was not up to par. Needs to be a point of emphasis.
Pass coverage was soft...
Fact of the matter is: Offense has eclipsed defense in so many cases. The passing game and tremendous athletes at quarterback, receiver, running back and the true skilled position the offensive lines makes it difficult to play defense. I wonder how many shut-outs occurred in 2012 and how many...
I think in some ways Wisky was better than we thought and at times the Bucks were not as good as we thought. Just think if they could have put the hammer down the entire game.
100+ yards rushing was pretty darn good. The wanted to stop the run to win and they did.
Wish they would have...
This game for Wisky boils down to two dynamics----control the ball and score and also can the Wisky defense keep OSU offense at bay. I worry about the physical nature of Wisky vs OSU after the Cream Puff brigade in the first four weeks. For Ohio State is comes down to can they stop the run. I...
If Notre Dame had a roster that included Adolph Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Mao Tse-tung, Jack the Ripper, Attila the Hun, Ayatolla Khomeni, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, Vlad the Impaler, and the Cast of the View as Cheerleaders, I would still root for them over Meesheegun.:hoke:
Room to improve.....be we vent therefore we are......not to be confused with bashing.
Also having the highest expectations for all is never a negative. :urban2::coombs:
After all is said and done, I am and forever will be a Buckeye. Go Bucks!:oh:
Also, do you think the Cal coaches have the punter and the qb with same number merely as a chance? The roster is sent out before hand and the Bucks coaches certainly knew. Was this a change for this game? Don't special teams coaches and special teams coordinators check this sort of thing out...
They certainly did, but there are a bajillion coaches in the press box and sidelines. Goff also has his name on the back of his jersey. Coaches get paid to watch that stuff. I yelled from 43110 to Cal that it was him. I guess no one heard me outside of CW.
Tackling was not near championship caliber at Cal. I would sit whoever the db was that tried a weak push from behind on a long td run.
And just to vent.......is it not a dead give-a-way when the qb lines up as a punter and throws for a first down?
I wonder if and how much the offense will change when Carlos Hyde gets back. I love the power and tenacity he displays. Also I wonder how the offense will change, if at all, when adverse weather takes a toll?
We are blessed to have KG. He is the ultimate team guy and an invaluable asset.
BTW-was the sideline announcer terrible? I didn't read every post, but I am sure someone mentioned this too.
