The statue will be back eventually, it's only a matter of time now. They've reduced all the sanctions, they reinstated the wins, and now their state government wants Emmert's head for even hitting them with penalties.

I don't expect USC to resurrect the Cheatey Petey dynasty under Sark, but with the sanctions lifted I think the recruiting talent coming in alone will lift them back to a major player status that they haven't had in the last 5 years. Might take a year or two since depth isn't great still.

Gotta say, read a lot of reports and interviews with Tony since the move, and he's been nothing but classy with the way he's handled the move. He's shown that he was very committed to the kids he recruited while at ND and that it was hard to leave, but he's fully invested in his new position...

I think the move to tOSU was certainly a resume builder for Alford. It's been known for some time that Alford was interested in a head coaching role, he's been hoping that he would follow in the footsteps of Irish coordinators that landed HC gigs elsewhere. I'm sure when his alma mater passed...
