FYI, Sam Thompson visited OSU on 10/10 and was offered by Thad then. He is definitely a viable recruit for us still and the interest is very mutual from what I've heard.
I think there was a typo as he called him Bradley Bill, when his name is Bradley Beal and most list him as Brad Beal. He...
Out of curiosity, I wondered where/if he'd signed with anyone. I googled him and found him on the University of WEST FLORIDA site. Never heard of them but that seems to be where he landed.
So Prather goes to FLA and Ziegler may yet play for his dad, but Kearney appears on the verge of committing to Michigan State anyway! So both apparent leaders get trumped.
I'm not sure if LVL was after any of our 2010 class - maybe Sibert a little, but so far with the 2011 class matchups its ALL LVL. Particularly troubling is losing both Price and Chandler to the same school. I hope TM can start winning some of these battles soon!
Haven't seen him linked with tOSU for several months now. He also hasn't popped up in any T100 lists I've seen. I'm not sure he's being offered by any hi majors just yet.
It sounds like lots of kids are still borderline for qualifying entering their SR year of h.s. so it may not be that big of a deal. I think in the past it was just rarely reported on because of privacy issues and that it is not that unusual.
They have a year to raise scores and core GPA, so...
That assumes the individual players on a winning AAU program's roster are more talented than those on AAU teams that aren't winning as much. Which could well be a false assumption. Some teams gell better than others despite inferior individual talent - coaching and chemistry can be much bigger...
I have not heard him tied to us since his de-commitment. Perhaps the "official offer" should be removed until he is re-offered again. It doesn't seem the staff is that interested.
Agreed, while he scored 20 he was 0-3 from the charity stripe. If he is going to be a bigger part of the offense this season, and we all hope he is, then he needs to start hitting the FTs or he'll be hacked a lot more.
+1 You make some great points here Litl!
I do wonder how they are going to get what looks to be seven viable Gs all enough PT, even in a 4G lineup. You have to think that the starting guys ( Lighty, Buford, Diebler, Turner ) will all get 30+ minutes. That only leaves around 30-35 tops for...
In think it equates to 6.7 actually, but that is not relevant since the other numbers stated are his actual averages for the 21+ minutes ( not extrapolated out to what he'd have averaged in 40 ) so it makes no sense.

There's unfortunately a big obsticle to us staying in the hunt. We have no available ships to offer as we are already one over and Thad has stated he won't go two over. We will be trimmed from his list shortly as we are out of the running. I highly doubt he'd wait until the Spring to decide...
We, OSU, were reportedly one of the very first to call about him - even with no ships available to offer.
While he may end up waiting and signing in the Spring, I imagine with all of the interest he will be offered schollies by numerous schools well before the Fall signing period. It may be...
