So class is down to 15.
A lot of confidence out there about Okudah, Browning and Werner. Class could be back up to 18 pretty quickly.
No idea how many spots are left but Jay Tufele, Trey Smith, Kendall Sheffield, Darnay Holmes, Marvin Wilson and some highly ranked OH guys still on the board.
Good stuff. I do think we fit the 3rd DT and 2nd RB in though. Most are now saying that the class will get to 20+ and we've seen these classes consistently end up bigger the next February than we were expecting in May. We've already had a couple scholarships open up this week with Schmidt and...
They have a TE already committed also and possibly lead for another highly rated guy. Plus, they really didn't come through with the offer until late. I get that they are a threat, but I really think he's going to be a Buckeye.
Hawkins has also dropped weight to under 220 for his senior season...
Michigan really seems to be pumping out the talent in its younger classes with this guy and Goldsmith (not to mention guys like Peoples-Jones in 2017). Hopefully the Buckeyes can swoop in and steal a couple of these guys out from under Dantonio and Harbaugh.
Starting to think that the longer this goes the better for OSU because he's been to Auburn a lot more than he's been to Columbus and there's some rumors that he's thinking about committing soon. Need to get him back up here in July (hopefully for FNL) and then again on an official.
Feels like OSU is probably in the top 3 at least. He hasn't been to USC, Auburn or Ole Miss. Might not even visit USC or Auburn. Just a gut feeling, but I think if he leaves Texas, it'll be for the Buckeyes so it's just a question of whether we can get him away from A&M/TCU.
Jackson's thread should have more than 3 posts because he's a really key recruit for the Buckeyes in the big picture. I have a good feeling that he ends up being one of those "Urban specials" where he surprises people near signing day by signing with the Buckeyes over a bunch of southern powers...
4 visits this year in addition to spending a full week in Cbus last summer.
This is the type of contact with coaches and visit schedule that actually make it possible to pull an elite WR out of the South.
Victor's quickly moving from the "long shot" category into the "very real possibility...
Sounds like just a quick visit to UM and no visit at all to MSU. Urban doing work.
Also starting to sound like OSU has pulled even with Florida and is right there with Victor.
With Corley looking more and more likely to MSU and NCM a tough pull out of the south, I think there's a pretty good...
Agree with this. Will be curious about Greene and not 100% sure he's a take. I've heard enough good things about him though that it does sound like he'll be a guy OSU will take now despite the wealth of other good options. The fact that he's at IMG and will get great coaching over the next 2...
He's really smooth for a guy that size. Didn't really see him running away from people in his highlights, so speed is the biggest question I'd have. If he can run in the 4.5s at camp this summer, then I think he's a strong candidate for a June offer. If he's in the 4.6s, then still a candidate...
Minny under Kill is a pretty likable program. Would like to see them have some success vs. Wiscy and make a B1G Championship game sometime in the next few years. They start landing some more 4 star guys like Coughlin and they'll have a pretty good chance of doing it.
The year at IMG won't hurt his chances of playing early either. He's going up against Malik Barrow, Cam Spence and other Buckeye-caliber guys in practice everyday and getting great coaching too. He's definitely going to show up very college-ready and could jump right into the two deep.
Yep. He's big-time on the field. Great intangibles too. Way underrated by the recruiting services and I think I'd take him if I could pick just one of the DBs we're in on.
Not sure when he's planning on deciding. Could get complicated with Tony Butler possibly looking to make a "decision" by...
Will he go to camps if he's already committed to OSU?
The fact that the Buckeyes have pursued Felder so hard and are willing to take him while seeming so indecisive about most of the other DBs out there goes to show just how highly regarded Felder is. Based on the guys it's looking like OSU...
Both Mack and Corley are guys who should come in ready to contribute immediately. They're getting great coaching/training in the offseason and have way more polish than your average HS junior WR. Hoping those are the two we end up with and just call it a class at WR in 2016. We need a couple...
Mack is just a really impressive kid all around and I think he's the most important offensive recruit left on the board. I like the comparison to Michael Thomas and think Mack is a kid who, like Thomas, could lead the Buckeyes in receptions more than once in his career and be an all-around...
If this is true, sounds like he was planning on committing to ND (which would match the rumors of the past week). If he pushes back his announcement after this visit, that is good news for OSU. But still means that he's not completely sold on OSU, just that he's more up in the air again.
Congrats Tuf. It's probably difficult to pass up going to your father's alma mater. You wonder how much 59-0 had an impact on his thinking about how big a difference there currently is between the programs. Though it really seems like he just felt a better connection with Fickell and the LBs...
