Pre-ordered the audio book awhile back, and it finally drops next week. I'm really looking forward to it. Getting in the mood by going to It Chapter Two this weekend.
We all have those markers. Those of a certain age know where they were when JFK was shot. Those who witnessed it know who they were sitting with watching man first walk on the moon. We share the emotion and the sadness of the moment when we lost the Challenger. We spent days hurt and angry...
Good book even when a re-read.
Another of his I'll pick up again in the fall every couple of years or so and read again is 'Something Wicked This Way Comes'...great book and captures my favorite season perfectly.
Well shit. I bought a Wrangler unlimited Sahara 2 weeks ago. I now feel so type cast.
But, I'm only reading one book, love steak, watch TV relentlessly, and I only jog. Crossfit is beyond my aspirations.
Agree....and if you are an audio book person....the Scottish accent makes it better. EDIT: NVMD, I was thinking of Unf*ck Yourself for the awesome Scottish twang. Same lane...similar message, different slant.
About half way through Red Rising. It's Sci Fi, and I had multiple people recommend...
How the time flies by!
It’s just a few months short of 4 years since I took my only child to OSU for student orientation.
It's also just a few days until he becomes a fellow alumnus.
His experience was, in so many ways, not like mine. Time and change indeed. As a student he never experienced...

Beer fridge now has a lot more room in it. Time to restock.
I don't know, some of the trees in my yard *might* have...
Well, damn,
Didn't see that coming. I know the WR room is stacked and the recruiting is strong but I thought Blue would be a contributor. Good luck to him, hope this works out well for him.
Plus a huge recruiting weekend that kicks off a bunch of big time visitors. Hopefully we start to get a lot of news and updates.
Apparently we have a lot of work to do, what with TSUN favored by 6.5.:spitfire:
Any of you that have bounced around the OSU boards for awhile and recognize my handle likely know I am an OZoner, but also love this board and several other OSU sites. I have spent some time thinking about a recent family event and decided it was time to write about it. I sat down earlier today...
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll check it out. FWIW seems it already has a sequel and a movie is being developed.
She is prolific..since The Dry she has already published three more.
Playoffs be damned. I love that Urban's last game as head coach of tOSU is going to be the Rose Bowl. I hope he gets to raise his arms to send in that victory formation play call.
We all knew this was coming, someday. And of course we even suspected (feared) it could be today.
I am excited for...
I downloaded the audio version of this and am about 75% through it. Solid, though I don't know if I would like it as much had I not grown up in similar fashion and geography, attended OSU, etc.

Some days roll or grind by in anticipation of a different day. It's funny how life does that....the days leading up to Christmas, a vacation, or a celebration just crawl by like the good stuff will never arrive. Days spent agonizing over a tough day...
