I very clearly remember the posts about UM when he was still with your team. I may have even made some myself. That's what we do here--rag on players & coaches that aren't ours. We're a snarky bunch.
Personally, unless he decides to join Benedict Warriner on his sidelines, I don't think it's...
Such is life.
All over the country, there are Christmas trees and Hanukkah candles up in homes where they are also planning funerals and remembering the lost.
It's always all mushed up together, isn't it? Just depends, like those old magic eight ball toys, on what floats to the top at any...
Just venting.
Like we haven't already had our fill of unhappy news recently, I checked my emails and found out sometime next week I'll have a funeral home to visit.
2018 kinda sucks. Enough already.
It's going out, not so much with a bang, as with a loud and particularly foul-smelling fart.
As years go, sweetheart, you've frequently massively sucked.
You know what you did. I don't need to repeat it all here.
I will just say, though, that if you'd like to get a head start on taking your clothes off the hangers and emptying your crap out of the medicine chest, feel free to start...
I'd thought he'd been married for some time. I know he used to show pics etc. of their kids on air. Then again, it was only legalized about 3 years ago wasn't it, and I think the obit said he'd been ill for 2 years, so yeah, pretty darn close.
I'm a big weather geek, so losing those guys...
Yeah, this one is especially sad.
It was a particular shock to me yesterday because of my pattern of dodging the local news and trying to just see the weather. I'd also gotten into checking online quite a lot. A few weeks ago we were having some kind of snow event or other, and I tuned in...
And Woody committed unprovoked assault against an opposing player.
It is, after all, Mt. Rushmore/Buckeye, not Mt. Sinai.
(And, no, I wasn't on Team Tressel. Just think you'll be hard pressed to find four without a blemish on or off the field.)
Read this and had a sudden future flash when Day's team scores a TD for 61 against tsun's not-much, then has them take a knee instead of kicking the after point so Urban's record 62 stands alone.
It's been a rough week. I need to take the happy wherever I can find it.
Columbus-area people will know this one:
Just now remembered that we exchanged emails years ago when the little dog he used to have on his broadcasts died. I sent a condolence note and he very graciously replied.
He was my favorite weatherman. Seemed like a sweetheart...
Personally, I'd like to see badges handed out for contest winners again. They can't be that hard to generate.
I mean, one wouldn't want people to get the idea that BP was discriminating because of, oh...I dunno...gender, would we now?
We pay our $79.95 just like everybody else here.
The Sportsbook prize "$" is used to place bets on games & other contests in (where else?) Sportsbook. If you win, you get...taa daa!...more Sportsbook cash.* (Sort of an infinity loop.)
*No monetary value. Restrictions may apply. Not valid in Tennessee. Terms subject to change without...
I've been seriously flashing all day on how it felt hearing the confirmation that he was going to be here. The memory of the energy around that announcement is so strong, and the anticipation for the future, that it really makes the contrast with today that much sadder. And, yeah, seems like a...
