I like Holt. I think he is a good guy, has a good basketball mind and does things the right way. That being said, I don't think its the time to extend his contract any longer than the additional 4 years he currently has. Check back in a couple of years. If he goes 6 years without a B1G title...
It depends. There is no law prohibiting it, but most leagues in NC aren't going to allow it. The only player I know of currently pursuing it is Williams who is playing for Vertical Academy. They are a newly formed basketball factory which is supposedly being sponsored by a major shoe company...
Recent article on mboblog says their source told them Reed wanted to commit to OSU at the end of his visit, but was encouraged (by his side) to take his other visits before making that commitment. They believe we lead for him at the moment.
If Liddell returns, Etzler won't get off the bench except in garbage time. With an actual center in the fold and expected improvement from Key, Liddell and Young are going to get all the minutes at the 4 and thats really the only position Etzler can play right now. Even if those guys have foul...
Yeah, I don't know if this would affect Kyles decision to return, but having a big in the post could free him up to work on his perimeter game and concentrate on being the stretch 4 he always planned on. It would give us a pretty darn good front court if both of those things happened.
Yeah, he will step right in for Kispert. His perimeter offensive game can certainly handle the 3 or 4, question of whether he is quick enough to guard on the perimeter, but that length allows him to play off guys.
MSU was missing a lot of open looks. While the 37 points was bad, it was really their defense that looked pitiful as Rutgers was also missing lots of open shots (Harper was 1-12 at one point).
Normally, I would assume that Izzo would be tearing them a new one and they would come out with a...
Rankings have a strong bent towards "potential", particularly pro potential. Obviously what someones potential is can be subjective. Key was likely viewed as a tweener. PF size, C skills/athleticism. He was more college ready than a lot of guys ranked ahead of him because his low post skill...
Edwards wingspan was 6'6" and measured just over 6' in shoes. Yeah, I know, always a debate about whether the 1.5" for shoes is an actual height, but in having been next to Jones, I doubt he was 5'10" in shoes last year.
I don't know how tall Jones really is now, but its a valid concern as...
Yeah, I took his comments to mean that if he were committing soon, his confidence level would be high, but he doesn't expect a commitment for a few months.
I think Zed is better than the #150 player currently, but can understand the ranking somewhat in regards to "potential". He is a tweener athletically and size wise.
I am honestly not sure what to think of Brown. Doesn't force things, plays smart and played for a team that ran their offense...
I like him a lot, definitely better than his ranking. Better athlete than Garza, but seems to have similar style in the post. Much lighter on his feet than James. Tough call between he and Reid, but I'd take either.
Holmgren is going to be interesting his year in college, but I don't see him...
To be clear, I didn't assume one way or the other. I was asking why you assumed it because I really haven't seen any speculation about him leaving. Really good college player who probably isn't athletic enough for today's NBA.
Why do you assume that? Don't see him in any draft projections and there isn't going to be a predraft camp to show what he can do against other 2nd round prospects.
I was referring to staff, not us minions. I can't fathom that the staff would be recruiting grad transfers without scholarships available unless they've been alerted to departures. In the case of Towns, he's got a commitable offer, so the staff "knows" of someone who is leaving. They put out...
I'm guessing its not a matter of players "having" to leave, but more along the lines of we know that players are leaving and are looking to fill vacancies.
He's had 2 heart surgeries and has a pace maker. We have no idea what his situation is. I would assume that if he had any inclination his condition were flu like, he would have walked away before the game.
