If you're talking about Candace Parker, she had another year of eligibility due to a redshirt season from a knee injury, but she had finished four years of college and was thus eligible for the draft. Plus, with the tight salary cap, there's little incentive to go early even if you could.
Nice run to end the half, Lady Bucks lead 44-22.
Jantel leads the scoring with 17 on 8-11 from the floor; Ashlee has 9, hasn't missed a shot; Sammy has 8 with 6 assists and 2 steals; Star has 5 and co-leads in boards with 6; Shavelle has 4 with 3 steals. Not much scoring from the bench but solid...
68-35 final and the Bucks avoided the sloppy ending that marred last night's win. It wasn't always a thing of beauty but many of the problems from last night, like failing to get to the line, seem to have been addressed.
Stats: Jantel 29 pts 11 reb off 12-13 shooting! Star with 9 pts and 8...
Lady Buckeyes up 28-10 with about 5:00 to go in the first half. They seem to be playing a crisper game than last night. Jantel is having a big first half and Moeller and Schulze have played well off the bench.
Final: 68-54 Lady Buckeyes
Second half was never close; tOSU led by as many as 30. Kaylie Klein was outstanding for Cleveland State, scoring 30 points!
For OSU - Lavender continued her double-double streak with 18 pts, 11 boards; Trebilcock and Johnson with 12 each; Prahalis 6 pts, 7...
Lady Bucks up 38-18 at the half.:)
Pretty balanced scoring (Trebilcock leads with 10, Prahalis 5 assists); they've had some nice plays off good ball movement, but a few too many turnovers - maybe the rust from exam week is showing a little bit.
Sounds like a sloppy first half...
The Bucks had three quick baskets (assists on all three) and jumped out 10-2, but then had some to trouble and let Cleveland State climb back to a 2 pt game. It's back up to 9 now, 24-15. Schulze is playing well and Johnson has two buckets off the bench...
