You'll probably see UM and RR use the tight end more so than any other time in his coaching career this year. RR's been visiting with Stoops in the past, working on getting the TE involved in the offense. We saw a small wrinkle of it in '08, but we all know the qb situation didn't allow for much...
Yep, I'm a bit disappointed in all the tweeners myself. I've been waiting for a pure LB commit for a while now. I was pretty upset when that one kid ended up committing to Oklahoma, when he had decent UM ties. He seemed like a good player, and a position of great need. Oh, what's his name?
Definitely agree with that. His commitment has always puzzled me. I've got no problem with a guy like him filling out a class, but not in May, or was it April when he committed?
Here's hoping for a LB/DE commit tomorrow morning.
You are correct. If Gallon qualifies, Stokes will be outside. If not, he'll probably do both.
Sorry, thought you meant Jerald. You are right, Terrance is definitely a slot. Jerald is definitely outside, or defense. Denard is definitely QB, and Marvin is definitely defense. Wheeew, too many...
As with most, if not all, OL prospects, taking a redshirt year to learn technique is almost required. This is almost like a guy like Patrick Omameh, who came in at 230ish lbs, and as of spring ball, was at 276 lbs, and looking at getting significant playing time this year. Not saying Pace will...
They won the FCS legitimate National Championship. No doubt they would have been able to win the MAC, or another like conference. Which, would put them in the playoff under the Wetzel structure.
I don't think anyone here can say with absolute certainty that you are correct. They might say it, but, no one will ever know. Looking at the Wetzel Plan, they surely would have made the playoff, if they were in the MAC, or other similar conference.
Yeah, I remember now reading your playoff structure a month or so ago. I just remember recently seeing you call for someone to make a somewhat compelling argument for a playoff and decided to throw my hat in the ring. I always liked the idea of the Wetzel Plan because of its, probably overdone...
How clever. Funny though, UM more than likely wouldn't have made any playoff that year. On the other hand, App St, if they were FBS, not FCS, they could have had a good chance depending on what league there were in and who they played.
