The Rio Grande is a disgrace. It's a low, dirty, not terribly impressive. The Guadalupe is beautiful, not far from Austin. You can go tubing for hours down the river, we even have tubes for ice chests, so people can drink while they float. Highly recommended to escape from the heat you all claim...
Well, the thread has come back to life
But it's all between OSU fans arguing about outcomes of games last year. We need some interconference shelling.
Agree it's pointless to argue what should have been.
No problem. I can state with a fair amount of certainty that he was a disruptive influence--can't go into details. I do deserve points off for misspelling his name. And I did state that he is a fantastic talent that will be missed on the field.
All of you may be too young to rememebr this, but Jackie Smith, playing TE for Dallas in the SB, dropped a sure TD against Pittsburgh in the endzone that might have won the game. At least Hamby got drilled--Smith was uncovered and just got a bad case of nerves. Dallas fans never forgave him, and...
Question: What went wrong during the Penn St game, and what changed following that game? I missed the game.
Also, I feel the score of the game will be lower. Don't know why, just think the defenses will have the advantage in this game.
You are right. RT is a big threat on the field. You have have to account for him on every play, or he can burn you. His playmaking ability will be missed, in a huge way, and don't think the OSU defensive coaches aren't happy to see him gone.
I meant as a disrupting influence, he won't be...
Agreed. Heard some scuttlebutt from an employee at my office who recently completed a project with the UT football team. Romance Taylor, recently indicted for pot possession, is not being missed from the team. He was evidently a real troublemaker in the locker room, picking fights all the time...
Sorry, couldn't resist, since an OSU fan was teasing us about having a much bigger stadium. Reminds me of an exchange between an American soldier and and English gentleman during the Second World War.
GI: "I guess this whole country could fit into one corner of Kansas."
English Gentleman...
Why do you think here has been a lack of pro success at this position, and do u think troy will break through? I think he has what it takes, whatever that is.
That's the $25,000 question. There is a tremendous void that needs to be filled, and quick. Not sure who can provide that level of leadership, but I think it has to come from someone on the defense.
A separate question for OSU backers: I know you guys despise Michigan, but you must admit that...
If Romance is convicted, it's a big loss for us. He was our all-purpose yards leader last year. He is a guy who is enormously talented, but a little spacy, to say the least. His mom is a guard at the state prison. You'd think he'd know a little something about staying out of trouble.
