I think Ole Miss can upset LSU. The last few times they have played it has been close, and with Miles' coaching, the Tigers may be dumb enough to lose.
Also, I think Texas Tech can play their style of football and upset Oklahoma at home. Then Oklahoma can go on to win the Big 12 with a 2...
I think we all started off the '07 season with "moderate" expectations. We knew we had talent, but we also knew we were young.
As we went through the '07 season two things happened:
1. We won
2. Other teams lost
Suddenly we were sitting pretty at the #1 spot and sure the upset bug...
As for Illinois danicing on the O, look no farther than Zook. Remember when he got in a fight with a Fraternity down at Florida? A grown man taking it out on a bunch of kids in a house, 'nuff said.
It seems like every team around the country is trying to utlize the spread offense to negate mismatches. Drew Brees ran it at Purdue, Florida is running it with Tebow, we faced it at Washington this year, etc.
How do you best defend the spread offense?
1. What do you need in terms of...
I just find it amazing that we can recruit the best athletes in the country, yet we can't stop a spread offense from a young and (mostly) untalented team.
To be honest, I hope Oregon goes to the NC game, I just can't see this defense beating the Oregon spread offense. They have a great QB...

I don't like the Canes either, but the Orange Bowl stadium has meant a lot to CFB. I know our Buckeyes don't travel down there often, but many National Champions and Super Bowl Champions were crowned on its field.
Just imagine if the Rose Bowl was demolished one day, how would you feel?
Sometimes luck eludes you in Ohio, but I think the Buckeyes struck gold when they hired Tressel.
But Willingham would have made a good coach too :tongue2:
If TSUN wins this game will it be the first time in CFB history that a team wins its conference after losing to a D-1AA team?
That would be embarrassing :(
Does anyone think it's odd that LSU is playing LaTech this weekend, but we got chastised for playing Kent State a few weeks ago?
They may have big games in the south, but they cleverly seperate those big games with Byes and with D-1AA teams (ex. Georgia vs. Troy).
How about this scenario: An undefeated Kansas team (most likely in the top 5) plays a one loss OK team in the Big XII Championship Game. Would the winner of that game get the #2 spot over LSU?
New polls are out for Nov. 4:
1. LSU leads Oregon by 17 points in the USA Today Poll
2. Oregon and Oklahoma both have more 1st place votes than LSU (2 each compared to one)
