If tOSU asked for resumes for the head coach job how many do you think they will get? Do you think it will attract candidates nationally?
Was Glen Mason the only nationally recognized coach to apply the last time?
The 1997 Sugar Bowl agrees with you.
Gators 52
Seminoles 20
Gators win NC even though they lost to FSU in the regular season. This was when we beat #2 Arizona State in the Rose Bowl.
Oregon lost their last 2 BCS games and lost their OOC games against Boise and LSU. It seems like the media would be getting all over them for this poor performance out of conference... :wink2:
But they do call their plays real fast so I guess they are a super exciting team to watch!
Yeah, he may turn it around next year. But this is the risk you take when you bring in a big name hire. Remember when Glen Mason was interviewing for the tOSU job along with Tressel? A Big Ten veteran coach against a D-1AA coach? Man, I'm glad we went with the guy from the small school.

OT - Has anybody seen how awful Will Muschamp is doing this year for the Gators? For a "star" hire he is 5-5 with his best win against the Vols. And he has Rainey, Demps and Brantley, it's not like Urban left a bare cupboard.

If Oregon wins out do they play LSU again in the BCS NC game? (assuming OK State loses to OU and LSU wins the SEC)
Or will voters pick another team to play LSU?
Get a WR? I don't know if Colt has the arm strength to make any use out of a deep threat. His arm is weak compared to other NFL QBs.
I'm going to spend the rest of this season watching the Lions, after they get to a Super Bowl the Browns will be the last ones left...
Why, oh, why didn't JoePa and Penn State just fire Sandusky and sick the police on him? :(
Why did those Penn State "adults" try to cover up Sandusky's mess? Did he have some dirt on them or something? Who the *bleep* cares about that dude, just get him out of there and move on.
Now JoePa...
Do conferences really matter that much? Besides tv money revenue sharing what do they really bring to small schools?
I would much rather be a fan of Boise State than Miss. State. As a Boise State fan I could watch my team on national tv travel around the country beating good teams. If I was a...
Pac 12 not expanding has huge implications
1. Who does SEC get for 14th team? Mizzou might stay in Big XII now
2. I guess ND is off the table for B1G
3. The Big XII/Big East merger isn't going to happen, does Big East try to get another football school to replace Syracuse and Pitt?
The ACC has some huge stones taking Syracuse and Pitt away from the Big East and then telling the Big East they want Madison Square Garden for their tournament.
Looks like Penn State might be heading to the ACC...JoePa always liked the East Coast

That would suck for the Big Ten to have a team jump ship. But I could see why Penn State would do it, it could make a lot of sense for them....
I'm sure it's a huge reason. In these financial times where are the universities going to go to get money? The state governments have slashed their funding and donations from alumni are surely drying up.
Here's what some Big 12 schools did with their tv money...
