a bender is a someone who skates and their ankles bend. i dont even know how its humanly possible, i cant bend my ankles in that way if i tried to. but go anywhere that has crappy skaters and youll see some guy who has his ankles draggin along the ice. crappy skaters do it. somehow, someway-i have no idea how. it is the ultimate insult in the hockey world.

Yeah, I think Tradition was the wrong word, I meant more how passionate the fan base was. It's the closest thing I have seen to Ohio, seriously, Saturday I got to watch the OSU/scUM game during the morning, but when the Ducks game came on, the streets were dead and everyone was watching the game, I went to a liquor store to buy smokes and they looked at me like "what the hell are you doing not watching the game"
It's probably the only Pac10 team that comes close to comparing to anything in the Big10. Maybe you'd have to see it, but they don't have a pro football team, sort of like Ohio, who doesn't have a real Pro team, so all of that energy goes to the Ducks.
