Nice piece from Matt Brown who FOIA'd Miami and other programs to detail a list of teams they TRIED to schedule but either got no response or a rejection.

Can someone with some knowledge on basketball scheduling educate me on their schedule in general?
Its wildly different than football scheduling (obviously). The main problem seems to be that there was a weird part of the year where other programs were playing big "invitationals" Thanksgiving...
For those of you who didn't have the pleasure of playing Seattle this year (haha) - I assure you they do this to most teams.
Only the Rams and Stafford have the ability to solve their puzzle.
I work with an older gentleman who said that years and years ago, Miami used to have a decent men’s wrestling program before Title 9 nuked it.
Now there are almost no mid major wrestling programs that exist.
Will be interesting if they pull the trigger.
Miami's "new" hockey arena is 10+ years old but still shines based on it's excellent upkeep.
I was up there 4 weeks ago for a swim meet with my kids and the Ice center was packed as they were having "open skate" on an auxiliary rink and a youth...
Was at a game two weeks ago.
Millett Hall has alot of history but is pretty due for an upgrade.
The team itself is fun to watch. They're not terribly big, but their all Seniors and Juniors and they can all shoot it.
Crazy to think they might be the best team in the state this year.
