  • The only reason I knew of the "minority" scholarship was because some highschool friends from 'etta took advantage of it. I thought it was some of the craziest shit I'd ever heard. We may be backwards down there, but we're not all dumb as rocks (which the tutoring thing you brought up wasn't something I was aware of).
Happy Birthday but the reason I'll always remember your birthday... it was the first day I could breathe after Nixon ended Nam and I didn't have to worry about being drafted.. O H
Other than on the football field, I've got some lasting impressions of Galloway - I dont know if anyone remembers this, but they used to run quick 30 second strength and conditioning spots during games... one from way back was galloway doing triceps dips with a coach (Uz?)... only he was doing them with a handful of 45lb plates hanging from his waste... come to find out that - at 185 lbs +/- - Galloway could bench press 400lbs in college...

Later, Galloway would play pick up hoops at the Dublin rec center... he could dunk from virtually anywhere in or around the paint, and in crowds... it was amazing, especially since he isn't that tall.

I saw him in person a time or two - barring none, I'm not sure OSU has had a player more dynamic on offense than Joey Galloway.
