I mean, that's just good fun. (obviously most of these guys are shooting the groundhogs on their farms or in their garden, and of course some folks try to fatten them up, so, maybe I've only had grain finished groundhog, its unclear!)

I remember dudes where I'm from that would make trail bologna out of groundhogs, not waste them like that loser Thump. IIRC there was this place (and I don't want to get it wrong but, think like a sportsman's club) where they would get a pool together and whoever shot the biggest groundhog...
